Clowney to Dallas still an option

Sign him so he can pull a Tank on us? No thanks.

If things line up correctly, I think Smith could outperform Clowney (wherever he ends up).... and he’ll make WAY less money while doing it

Thats a big IF, but I agree. Smith is such a wildcard. He may not play at all, or he may play but be a bum, or he may play and be a top 5 DE if he somehow returns to form.

Dogs are awesome. All they want is to make their owner happy... and food.

They have no malice. No guile. And they’re loyal to the death.

I love ‘em.
Great post.

Aside from family, my dogs have always been my best friends. Can turn a bad day into a good one with a welcoming tail wag.

He will most likely be an eagle.
when a team like seatle gives up draft stock for half season on player like Clowney see hi first hand and dont make an offer even after JC said hed take less to stay in seatle..RED FLAG, when his original team who took him what was it first overall, lets him go RED FLAG

Id take flyer on him one season 16mil only because of our unknowns at RDE but I rather have Griiffin ie more motivated on field motor etc..the knock on Clowney in the draft turned iotu to be who he was , great when he wants to be, oft injured, but takes plays and games off..

He was not an option when he declared that he would accept $17 M.

I understand if anyone calls me naive, but I really think Aldon Smith is going to be good with us

Why?

I am all for taking a chance like this but it seems they are putting a lot of their eggs into this basket. Smith's last game was Nov 2015. Think about that. That was the last time he put on pads and played a game. Why are people assuming he's just going to come back and hit the ground running like he wasn't off for 5 seasons? Also throw in the fact that he won't have a full offseason workout with the team either it appears and we could have a shortened camp.

Someone else said he could be better than Clowney (who I am not suggesting we sign by the way) but I think that's really, really optimistic.

Once a dog loves someone, he will give his life without hesitation, for his person. Does it for me, every time. I have a female sleeping at my head right now...her name is Trouble.

Clowney has made a nice living from the tub....

If you asked me who the better player is, Quinn or Clowney?......I'd say Clowney by a fair bit and I'm aware that Quinn had double-digit sacks.

Clowney has been ridding his draft status since he got in the league. He was supposed to be a holy terror at getting to the QB but he's pretty much been pedestrian on that. I don't think many people will truthfully think he's lived up to being the first pick in a draft. His ego is telling himself that I was a number one pick so you have to pay me 20 mil a year but he's not worth that and hasn't ever played up to that.

Really, we are talking about a man...who came up on the block, and actually had to work to improve. This really too great a hurdle at his age? Naw, still doable, but he can't exist as just a normal effort...dedication and unending attitude have to convince. Good helps!

Would you consider Clowney's 3 sacks last year a high bar to reach?
