No. Both second on the depth chart.
If all the Texans wanted was a 3rd and some backups Cowboys should be in on this.

Who sits out under the tag vs who ends up playing under it?
You don’t have to pay him and I feel he sits he loses a truck full of cash.
They really have no options now. They've set the market as a 3rd and spare parts.
I think they lost a round worth of value. I consider Clowney worth a 2nd round pickIt was mostly a joke comment. I also was unaware of the 3rd at the time. I agree they have no options. They didn't set the market as much as letting the market fall apart around them. Imagine he may have possibly signed his franchise tag tender had they not tried to screw him over by claiming he was a linebacker.

No they shouldn’t have, because the problem with clowney is what he wants to get paid for vs. his actual worth. If all the Texans wanted was a 3rd and some backups Cowboys should be in on this.
The word is for two LBs, which is pretty laughable when they are dying for OL and RB help.

Houston (the one team that knows him best) could have had him for no compensation... yet they chose to not sign him.
It isn’t a matter of cheap compensation, it is a matter of his contract. He wants way too much.

Watson is about it recentlyConversely, what have the Texans been getting right lately? They alienated and then traded their left tackle too. How's that working out?

Clowney is also a huge flight risk right now. He cant be signed prior to FAFrank Clark netted the Seahawks a 1st, a 2nd. and a swap of 3rds.
Clowney should have brought something similar but the Texans screwed this up mightily.
I’ll tell you the things they got right:Conversely, what have the Texans been getting right lately? They alienated and then traded their left tackle too. How's that working out?
