Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger recently said that his relationship with coach Bill Cowher "wasn't great."

Cowher's reaction to the comment "wasn't great," either.

Talk in league circles is that Cowher is very unhappy with Roethlisberger's comment. Cowher supported and nurtured the young quarterback during their three years together, and Cowher never spoke out negatively about Roethlisberger after he nearly died as a result of a motorcycle accident in June 2006.

Said Roethlisberger last month: "It's going to be definitely different, because coach Cowher was, obviously, here before I got here, so our relationship wasn't great just for the fact that he was here so long before I got here, and I was just a young kid, a rookie, when he got here. Coach Tomlin and I are both, in a sense, rookies together. So, I think we might have a little bit better relationship."

The fact that the statement from Roethlisberger was plastered onto the team's official web site not long after the comments were made also is a slap, we believe, at the former coach, whose wishy-washiness in 2006 regarding his future with the team chafed some within the organization.

I'm going to be very unpopular around this area.

Normally I wish the Browns good luck but obviously now I won't.

And wanting the Steelers of all teams to beat them...I may need Secret Service protection.:D

Let's take a different approach to this thought process:

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger recently said that his relationship with his mother "wasn't great."

Moms reaction to the comment "wasn't great," either.

Talk in league circles is that Mom is very unhappy with Roethlisberger's comment. Mom supported and nurtured the young quarterback during their three years together, and Mom never spoke out negatively about Roethlisberger after he nearly died as a result of a motorcycle accident in June 2006.

Said Roethlisberger last month: "It's going to be definitely different, because Mom was, obviously, here before I got here, so our relationship wasn't great just for the fact that she was here so long before I got here, and I was just a young kid, a rookie, when she got here. Dad and I are both, in a sense, rookies together. So, I think we might have a little bit better relationship."

Nope. No better. :D

I won't root against Quinn if he starts. I am a big Notre Dame fan and have always like the Browns as well. If Quinn starts, I say go Browns.

We need to worry about winning the game on the field and getting to the SuperBowl, not some stupid draft pick.

 Why don't you just become a full time Brown fan then.

If your a Cowboys fan you root for the best for your team, especially when you get that other teams 1st round pick.

To me if your a Cowboy fan I don't see how you could want the Browns to win.

The Cowboys winning has nothing to do with the pick.

I don't care if we won the Super Bowl this year...I'd still want the #1 pick in the draft next year if I could get it.

Pretty lame from Big Ben and the Steelers. Cowher handled his wreck with class and compassion and he is turning on him.

Where is any quote that indicates Cowher isn't happy with Big Ben?

I see the quote where Big Ben voices his opinion. Where is Cowher's commentary? Or is the author just reading his mind?

Well you're on your own there with calling it a stupid draft pick. Ya don't suppose that "stupid draft pick" MIGHT help in the Cowboys' hopes for future SuperBowls?

It works out well for me.
I don't give a crap about the Browns.
I don't care for Notre Dame
I hope Brady Quinn is a complete bust so people will shut up about how we should have drafted him. (Yeah lets draft a rookie QB at #22 and dump our ProBowl QB)

That happens quite a bit from the guys at PFT. There's no need for sources when you can read peoples mind and speculate without any evidence.

Just another reason to want the squealers to go down.

I can't stand the Steelers being that I live in Steeler country.

But what's funny, Ben still seems to consider himself a rookie even after his third year in Pittsburgh.

He was calling himself a rookie last year after his near fatal motorcycle accident, because he basically had to start all over with a new mindset, as well as having to play with less weight on his body frame.

Oh well. Bottomline, screw the Squeelers! I hope they go 4-12 this year.
