Cowher should be thanking his lucky ****** stars for Rothlesburger that he was as good as he was as soon as he was; The steelers would never have made it to the Super Bowl let alone the playoffs with TOMMY MADDOX, regardless of Big Ben's performance in the Super Bowl... He should also be thanking Ben for his three touchdowns against denver or he would have been on the hot seat.. I am just thinking how close Cowher was to bieng considered a choke job of a coach if he lost to Seattle in the Super Bowl. He should just be quiet and enjoy his time off.

Hope they SWEEP the browns.:D

I don't think you have anything to worry about in that regard.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger recently said that his relationship with coach Bill Cowher "wasn't great."

Cowher's reaction to the comment "wasn't great," either.

Talk in league circles is that Cowher is very unhappy with Roethlisberger's comment. Cowher supported and nurtured the young quarterback during their three years together, and Cowher never spoke out negatively about Roethlisberger after he nearly died as a result of a motorcycle accident in June 2006.

Said Roethlisberger last month: "It's going to be definitely different, because coach Cowher was, obviously, here before I got here, so our relationship wasn't great just for the fact that he was here so long before I got here, and I was just a young kid, a rookie, when he got here. Coach Tomlin and I are both, in a sense, rookies together. So, I think we might have a little bit better relationship."

The fact that the statement from Roethlisberger was plastered onto the team's official web site not long after the comments were made also is a slap, we believe, at the former coach, whose wishy-washiness in 2006 regarding his future with the team chafed some within the organization.

This sounds a little bit like Julius Jones whining about Parcells. Losers love to blame someone else for their failures. I always thought Cowher handled things pretty well in Steelersland.

Reading comprehension must not be a strong point with you. Rothliesberger is the one spouting off, not Cowher. I find it funny that that Cowher should be thanking Rothliesberger and not the other way around. His 9 of 21 performance really is that of which legends are made of. The league is alot better with classy guys like Cowher in it...Big Ben, not so much.

You think the Boys don't like the Steelers??? I'm pretty sure I am not the only one in Patriot Nation that feels the fur go up on my back when the Steelers are mentioned. A lot had to do with Cowher.

When that bum retired I jumped for joy. Not really a bum, well OK a bum, I just could not stand him.

What do I remember, playing dirty -- like dirty to hurt people. Bum. Can you say Carson Palmer. Watching that idiot Kordell Stewart cry after losing and Cowher sticking with him. Hearing Cowher tell his team to get packed for the Super Bowl before he won the game -- all teams do this -- but not in the way he did it, it was a forgone conclusion. Looking at his stupid facial expressions during a game. Only Gruden can match, but what the heck I like Gruden.

Say goodnight Cowher, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Actually the only guy I liked on the Steelers team was Big Ben. Maybe not the best QB, but he is a fighter, clean fighter. Maybe he saw what I saw.

Again say goodnight Cowher. I will not miss you. But I am sure you will be back. Hopefully in the NFC so I don't have to look at you.

Yeah...Cowher is a loser, maybe when he starts banging married women like the "classy" Bill Belichek he will get your respect.

First off, it is Belichick.

Second, 50% of marriages end in divorce. No big deal, and if he is a happy camper then he will be a better coach.

Lastly, I believe in players going out with an attitude. But not going out to hurt folks. There is a difference. Cowher is a jerk.

Fine, Belichick...

You really believe that Cowher sent his team out to hurt Palmer? Seriously? You are just fabricating something to support a lame view you have. The guy is classy, I can't stand the Steelers, but I am able to see what a good coach and class act the guy was.

I really don't mind anyone else, not even the Colts. And Denver owns us, but I still like them. San Diego, well, they have a great team. I don't mind good teams, just obnoxious teams. Now that Cowher is gone, I hope things change.

Are you aware the rules were changed after that hit. It was clear, I saw the game, knew what those bums were up to. It was a low hit, not necessary. It was meant to take the guy out. Bengals were on their way, would have beaten the Steelers. No question in my mind. And Palmer has never been the same, but I hope the guy comes back.

They (whoever) may not be on my team, but I appreciate and enjoy watching good talent.

You like the Bears? I could understand Green Bay, but it's funny... I would've thought every New England fan would dislike Chicago with a passion after that 46-10 thumping in Super Bowl XX. They whipped the Patriots like Balboa beat the snot outta Clubber Lang in round three...

And can I respond to myself, there is nothing worse than watching a boring NFL game. What comes to mind, Grossman. Please, in the Super Bowl??? No, no. It was an embarassment to the league. Oh, those throws, can you just be half-way good bud. Better you in the SB last year, at least a little challenge to it. Oh, it was bad.

I like a good game. The Pats-Colts AFCCG was flat out good. I felt bad when we lost, but you know what, we didn't deserve it. No receivers, we DID not deserve it. This year things may change, but I can think of a lot of teams in the hunt.

The rules were changed, but there was never any evidence that there was anything dirty about it. Palmer even said it was part of the game. So again, you base your views on fiction.

Palmer has never been the same? He threw for over 4K, had 28 TDs, and had a 93.9 QB rating. I hope the guy comes back too.
