Absolutely! No brakes. None. Given the investment in this total running game, the results don't just need to be good, they need to be great. The expectations are sky-high, and rightfully so. Elliott needs to produce, produce at a high level, and produce immediately. 16 games in a season, no do-overs.
Yeah, fortunately, it looks like he will play, and it's the right decision.
I don't put breaks on any player. On the other hand I do not look at a handful of games and put players in the HOF either. As for Zeke I know he has the talent to be a great player and yes I expect a lot out of him. Will he have some rough days in the NFL? You bet hell even guys like Earl Campbell had down games as did Emmitt Smith and every RB who has played this game, not every game is going to be 100 plus yards and TD's.
The one thing I hate around here more than anything is people who may have disagreed with a pick to look for anything and everything to slam that player who was drafted.
Before the draft I was on record of not wanting to draft zeke I felt there were some other players whom were highly rated and could fit a need as well. However once the draft is over those picks became Dallas Cowboys and as a fan of the Dallas Cowboys I'm going to pull for those guys and put my own bias to the side. I see some who seem to be more interested in being right than anything else. I don't get that
