Dallas is 3-4 over it's last 7 games.

The last two home games have been blowout losses.

We are 2-5 if the ref's dont screw over the Lions.

We've always had flaws on our teams, but we have also had talent. There was a thread here the other day, we have what the most drafted pro bowlers since 2014?The problem has always been coaching. Dave Campo, Wade Phillips, Jason Garret was allowed to not win here for 10 years. The only guy that actually did more with less was bill parcels (and that was with a flawed roster).

We can talk offense, we can talk defense. Who's at fault. But coaching matters in the nfl, culture matters. The minute Mike Mccarthy was allowed to stay on as coach after the GB debacle it sent a message of mediocrity. I can guarantee if Bellicheck is your coach today's game doesn't happen. Because he holds guys accountable. The culture of being losers wouldn't be a thing.

News flash for everyone, every nfl roster has some flaws. None are perfect. It's coaching that makes the difference. Unfortunately it isn't a priority for this franchise and the owner. Same old story.

Belichick got the doors blown off last year and has generally been exposed without Brady. The big problem that you and other fans do not seem to get is that it takes an elite QB and HC to really build a dynasty. Extending Dak was the ultimate admission that mediocrity is okay with the franchise. They are terrified like many fans of what comes after Dak-careful what you wish for…

Jerry Jones has cultivated over many years a privileged, entitled, country-club culture. Where "brands" are far more important than "teams." Does anyone really believe any of the "stars" traversing the red carpet in Arlington are actually listening to the coaching staff...let alone learning anything from them? A club molded in the image of its owner is now performing as inevitably destined, in all its grotesque glory.

Honest question as well, what are you hoping stays the same?
Offensively they grinded scoring on all 3 of their first possessions. I see McCarthy trying to get the ball to guys like Turpin in space, I see them rolling Dak out of the pocket to buy time and cover some of the flaws of the OL. He’s giving all three RBs touches to give someone a chance to step up. We are seeing improvement (although slow improvement) from Tolbert. TEs seem to continue to find room underneath.

Jump over to the defensive side of the football and it’s a different story. Simply too much talent on that side of the football to have the same issues popping up. The Cowboys continue to do this essentially two HC type of set up with the HC owning one side of the ball and having a coordinator to own the other side approach. I’d love for that to change but it’s the wrong time of year to do that.

I dont think Big MIke and Zim are on the same page.

We had the same D problems with DQ.

I wonder how separate those two units are. I can only guess but it seems like McCarthy runs the offense, the other coordinator has ran the defense and it’s quite a different set up from the walk around HC.

With our current GM we will never win anything. Safest bet that exists in all of sports. Like a Freaking metronome

This issue has been consistently underestimated for years by the Dallas media and fans.

The success of sports teams, from high school to the professional ranks, hinges on mindset, structure, and leadership. While talent and athleticism are crucial, and strategy and coaching are key, without a solid foundation, these elements alone are often not enough to ensure victory.

The Cowboys possess talent, yet it's not sufficient to surmount their numerous deficiencies.

In terms of talent, they seem to lack speed, physicality, and definitely do not exhibit mental toughness.

have his team ready to play???

have his coachs ready to coach???

have his team play hard and discplined???

out scheme the other coach???

any thing aside from sit there like a big fat bullfrog with his fat head and fat face
Sure just put scheme the other guy when you have exactly one weapon for Dak to get the ball to. You can only scheme so much and can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****.

There is no HC out there who will be allowed to rule with an iron fist and hold players accountable. Keep firing coaches, it will get better…I promise
It definitely doesn't matter as long as Jerry is around. It'll just be rearranging the deck furniture on the Titanic. Jerry isn't interested in a strong, quality HC with real authority.

Personally, I think talent is more important than coaching in the NFL.

That being said. I do think we would benefit from having more modern systems in both offense and defense.

Let’s be honest. The cowboys are running antiquated schemes.

That is the preference of the Owner and Part-Time General Manager.

Even with Kellen Moore, who Jerry stated was their "very own version of Sean McVay," they still restricted him to an offense reminiscent of Norv Turner's style from the 90s.

Playoffs? Playoffs? You kidding me, playoffs? I just hope we can win a damn game. Even if they do make the playoffs which I don’t think they are, the entire world knows what will happen wild card weekend.
Agreed..

Regular season football is whatever for me.

Raiders beat the Ravens today

Bucs beat the Lions.

Vikings beat the 9ers…

It’s whatever. The emotional roller coaster in the Reg season is pointless.

Let’s relax a little guys.

The Cowboys will be fine.

Judge them in the playoffs.. Stuff happens in the regular season but no showing in the playoffs is what should be the cause of all of our gripe.

Our division is trash and I’m not so sure the entire conference isn’t trash.
Eagles will probably win 12 minimum.

The coaches do not install the culture here, this is Jerry's team and everybody in this organization is made well aware of that. This team has taken on Jerry's personality, he loves the circus and the spotlight, this team is a reflection of Jerry and has been for 3 decades.

Yes that’s my point Jerry hires the coaches. We could have won here the past 20-30 years at least once.

We are one of the few teams in the nfl who have not been to a title game over that period…. Yet we are tops in the league in talent every year. What gives? It’s coaching… it’s being un prepared… it’s failing to make adjustments. It’s looking like a deer in headlights when your back is against the wall. It doesn’t matter if we’re 8-0 or 0-8 we gets every teams best because we’re the cowboys.

When we lost that playoff game last year MM should have been gone. But now he’s back and the same BS is happening again.
