Coaches matter. Look at the HC, he is just useless. No one wants him as a HC. Not doing anything in the game that you can see he is a good coach material. Did he fix the penaltiea issue? No, Did he make adjustments during the game? No,. does he have a winning season last year? No. Who can tell me what he did earn you the trust? He has to go!!!

Wade Phillips	2007–2010	Retired. He most recently coached the UFL’s San Antonio Brahmas, stepping away in 2025 for medical reasons. In August 2026 he confirmed he’s retired—while joking, “unless somebody calls.â€Â
Jason Garrett	2010–2019	NBC Sports analyst. He works college football, some NFL games and Football Night in America. He interviewed for the Titans HC job in early 2026, so he hasn’t completely closed the door on coaching.Â
Mike McCarthy	2020–2024	Pittsburgh Steelers head coach. Pittsburgh hired him in January 2026 after Mike Tomlin stepped down.Â
Brian Schottenheimer	2025–present	Cowboys head coach. Dallas promoted him after two seasons as offensive coordinator. He’s now in his second season as HC.Â

If this isn’t an indictment of JJ, that none of these coaches have even had a cup of coffee in the league since coaching here other than McCarthy.

And JJ doesn't want McCarthy insteafd he hired a bozo like Schotty. McCarthy at least had a Super Bowl ring what does our HC proved to the fans?

I've made this post multiple times I think over the past 10-15 years.

You saw it tonight. The giants finally got a coach and it mattered. We keep hiring retreads nobody wants. No toughness, no discipline, mistake after mistake. Just hype The Dallas cowboys are once again a massively overrated team. 30 years of this BS all because the stubborn owner has to win with his hand picked guy.

I've been saying the same thing. Coaching makes such a big difference and a HC that controls the team is an absolute necessity. The Giants have been stacking early first round draft picks for years and getting nowhere. Harbaugh to them over and they looked like a team with a lot of high first round picks. They exploited all the Cowboys weaknesses as any good team should.

In the meantime we heard a lot of hype about Christian Parker and the Cowboys defense looked about as bad as I have ever seen it. Wide open receivers, sweeps with no pursuit to the outside, no edge containment, no pass rush and no one could cover the Giants TEs. It was bad, really bad. Nolan bad.

If it wasn’t for the Giants’ penalties it wouldn’t have been as close as it was and it wasn’t close at all. The score is deceptive. It wasn’t as close as an 8 point game.

Yep, those pass interferences gave the cowboys multiple scores. I have no faith that They could run the length of the field without them.

Keep in mind NYG have 3 OC's with alot of years of experience and they were up against parker coaching his very first game on the road lol.
Having 3 OC's is a powerful setup.

What I’ll never understand is the hiring of Shittenheimer. There is a reason he has never been a head coach and yet again this clown show hires from within like with Garrett. Giants had the stones to get a real head coach and this team could have went after someone like Ben Johnson but the jones boys would be threatened. It’s a true clown show when you think about it.

Yup, hiring Schotty was freakin dumb, nobody in the entire league wanted him, but dumb Jerry NEVER makes coaching decisions based on winning, outside of Jimmy and Parcells. We have seen as good as it can get with Schotty I think. But it sucks cuz I don’t trust this team at all to ever put the right pieces in place, far far far too many years of poor management and leadership.

When/if this thing with Parker blows up, they can hand off play calling to Derrick. He was DC at LA.

Schottenheimer would have been hired by precisely zero other teams. Many known great coaches have been hired by new teams over the past 3 or 4 seasons, including the one we just played. Other teams have hired elite assistants and are thriving. We hired an assistant of the guy we fired.

Wade Phillips, Garrett, Schotty. No one wanted these guys as HC.

Giants have Roman, Nagy and Brian Callahan, three former OCs and 2 were HC. Dallas has a first time DC with some college guys and position coaches. Also CPs strength is pass defense. Giants are built to pound you like the Ravens. Giants won everything.

How do you know Schotty is a bad coach? it is easy. The first delay of game penalty happened when the HC did not call a timeout. He is just a bad HC, and people still thinks he changed the freaking culture. He is not, he is the guy no GM wants to hire.

Not saying he’s a bas bad coach or not, but the giants and their great head coach also had a delay of game. I guess he’s not so great either.
