Coaching Vs Talent

Our roster isn’t bad. It’s got holes, and we’ve had injuries, but that’s why you get 53 spots, so that injuries aren’t an excuse.

Regardless, the coaching on both sides of the ball has been bad.

And, of course, we haven’t addressed the issues that keep this organization from getting over the hump even when they do things properly, draft well, and develop their players internally.
Our Defensive roster is bad.

"Pay the Man" is a big reason we are where we are.

Everyone who said "Just pay him" should wash their mouth out w/ soap. Think they're aware enough to realize that their "Pay the Man" has been proven to be flawed?
Nope. Wish it were a different answer but unfortunately it is not.

If I could just take the title to this OP as literal I would name HCs and DCs whom I think could accomplish more with the present team's so called talent.

With that being said I still believe the ceiling of said talent is 9 wins(specifically defensively) even given the best coaching available.

So, both coaching and talent matters.
Sometimes the ability to do more with less top coaches even get lucky as well and take teams that had no business advancing/doing well in the playoffs based on breaks, health and a certain degree of luck.

Dallas has yet to enter into the scenario of right coaching with right talent and right luck.

Don't ever bet on this luck playing out in Dallas either based on Coach Jerry's unique infrastructure.

Hope is not a strategy.
