This is one where there's enough blame for everybody to share. You don't get your butt kicked that badly when anybody did their jobs properly, and that extends to the coaching staff and the all the players. If I could find a way to fault Bailey and Jones, I would, but those two are the only two to get a pass from me this week. Even Demarcus Lawrence, who did his share of balling yesterday, gets a big wet ding for that ******** leveraging penalty that gifted them the ball and a fresh set of downs.

Garrett has been a head coach for 7 seasons now. Linehan and Marinelli have been coordinators for years.

Why does it take a beat down like this for those experienced coaches to adjust?

Our coaches have never been able to adjust, but we had Romo, who was more of a coach to the offense than our actual coaches. Should have kept him as QB coach.

They'll adjust.

I think everyone at least learned something from this beat-down.

Really they will learn? This coaching staff has been making these kind of errors for years. They still don't have any sense of clock management and in big games I simply can't trust them. They never have a Plan B and they don't adjust when things are going bad. Linehan runs a Pop warner offense that is so vanilla a kid can draw those plays.

The question should be was it play calling or poor execution?

I tend to lean towards execution, because most plays - especially pass plays - have options. If Dak is choosing the underneath route regularly that's not necessarily play calling. Maybe he's making the right read, maybe he's just being overly risk averse - it's hard to know without seeing the all 22 videos.

Dez can't create separation, witt gets open but it takes a year or two to get open, twill needs the ball between the numbers or else he ain't open, bease gets lost behind blades of grass, butler fingers.......no creativity from linehan.......!

You have Beasley, TWill and Switzer and you can't run some crossing routes or fly patterns to make those DB's work. Linehan & Garrett give your heads a shake. You have so many weapons but you don't even know how to use them. Bet if Dez is on another team with good offense he would play better. They have no clue how to use this guy to his fullest potential. The system just sucks.

I still cannot fathom how ATL and PIT can free up Julio Jones and Antonio Brown against great CBs, by putting them in the slot and running them on crossing routes which are difficult for any DB to cover, yet we never see Garrett/Linehan do this with Dez.

Said this in an earlier post, on the play at the goal line there was a pass to Dez, he was in the slot on the left but Denver had no safety at all. I could not believe that he didn't run a slant or something with inside leverage because it would have been an easy throw. This offense isn't flexible at all.

Reading between the lines of Jerry's post game comments I think he felt the same. We'll see how the season goes but maybe this will be Garrett's version of what happened to Rob Ryan after the 2012 Seattle game.

And Garrett no longer has Romo to fall back on, first with his play and later with his mentoring to our QB. I'm starting to realize the influence he had on Dak last year and how different Dak looks this year. But it's early, so...who knows.

Exactly people just don't appreciate what Romo brought to this team. He saved this coaching staff on a number of games throughout the years.

I blame part of this on the coaching. The job of these coaches are to put these players in the best position to succeed. When Denver was putting 8-9 men in the box the play calling should be something to have them change it up. Example take a few shots downfield even if we don't complete the pass or anything else a coach would have in their playbook. Maybe some wide receiver screens but something different. Instead they kept running the same plays with very little success. I hope the front office addresses this.
Do you think there weren't guys running downfield on those plays? Dak chose not to throw to them, presumably because they weren't open, or open enough, for him to be willing to take the shots.

Was listening to Adam Schein and Jonathan Vilma on Sirius Radio and they are really questioning why Jason Garrett disregarded the run and putting his QB under the bus.

The season is still young but Jason's trend is having a winning season and then next season having a losing record.

Jason is not going to take this team to the promise land unless he proves me wrong.

It really sucks that all of these reports are coming out about Garrett blaming this one on Dak. I would hope that he would take responsibility for his own team as well as his fault in the play callling. I dont agree that we should have been taking shots down the field. How many screen pases did we run yesterday though? Off hand I dont remember any. Screens and short crossing routes would have forced Denver to back off on llading up in the box and would have at least given Zeke a chance. In the Pittsburgh game last year that screen was one of the nicest plays of the year. Whatever you do Coach Garrett dont call that game and then try to lay the blame at Dak Prescott's feet. Would you have ever done that to Romo?

Garrett knew Romo was more respected and more of a coach than he was.

Your telling me his plays are creative? Please we run the most basic offense in all of the NFL.

No I'm just laughing at your ridiculous comment about a kid drawing plays. Why don't you draw some up if it's so easy?

It's a wonder coaches ever get fired. It's all the players' fault.
I'm not talking in generalities like you are. I'm talking about the debacle in Denver.

Coaches get fired all the time but more specifically, players get coaches fire much of the time.
