He is fine in the role he is in now. You put him in too much and that small frame of his starts taking a beating and he ends up injured. The guy gets it done, but we don't want to grind him down like we did when we tried to make Felix and Murray feature backs.

Yeah I have to agree with this, he isn't someone I want to be more than a 4th WR.

But there are alot of opportunities in this role, so its great to have him there. Put him at #3 WR and the warts will start to show. Don't know why he would be rushed into a bigger role, that hardly never works with a guy who has marginal talent to begin with. I'm happy with him in his current role, asking for more is asking for too much.

The guy is an amazing player, and a hell of a secret weapon. There's no reason why he shouldn't get 5-10 targets a game.

You know when it's 2nd and 10, or 3rd and 8, and you find yourself saying 'throw it to Beasley' on a team with Dez Bryant and Jason Witten--and know that you're probably right to say that--he's doing something right.

Totally agree, except that on 3rd and 8 defenses are going to roll coverages onto Bryant and Witten. Still, Beasley deserves credit for taking advantage of the matchups he gets. I love the fact he runs QB-friendly routes, too.

I posted few weeks back that Romo should make Beasley his new BFF. Especially on 3rd downs. Guy gets open and has velcro for hands.

I've been calling for Bease since that preseason game where he threw up all over the place.

Another week, another chance for me to just repeat this same thing. He is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

(Yes, I fear for his life if he plays every single down.)

Beasley is good and we need to see more of him. Remember fear can motivate someone.

I was calling for Bease last year and was so thankful they brought him back. Smart move Cowboys.

It's nice to see that the fan climate with regard to Cole Beasley has done a complete 180 since last year. This has been the most impressive 180 in recent years on any player. Bravo to all of you. ;)

The way they are using him is pretty smart. Keep him from getting jammed, let him work the middle and flats. Eventually, they will send him deep. Williams is slicing up single coverage. The point of Beastly and Williams coming on strong is that teams have a dilemma now. You just can't double Dez, you can't just double Witten, because Beast and Will will maul your defense. Meanwhile, if you rush 4, you will not get to Romo quickly. This offense needs to open up. Our standard offense from now on should be the 3 wide set. Run from that.

Darn skippy. Forget the "12". They do best when they spread.

Dont get me wrong I like him alot, but he is a complete liability in the run game. Rag dolled by 200 lb corners.

The only thing missing is the running game.

The thing is, we are not a good running team. Our theme is to throw the ball and sprinkle in some runs here and there. If we happen to have a break out running performance, then so be it. But a team is totally capable of being a pass first team, which we are. Just clean up the mistakes.

I like the Beasley, Williams and Austin combination because they all do different things better than the other. Although we see that changing with Williams. He seems to be growing every game.

Beasley is the perfect slot guy and will get the 4-7 yard pass. He has good hands and is sneaky small. Small receivers are ideal because they can cut quicker and are very hard to cover. He will be exposed in an every down situation, and probably get injured.

Miles is the home run guy but needs space. When we get into shoot out, like this week against Detroit, Miles should sign. He has amazing speed and can accelerate away from most DBs. He's also very strong, but again, he can't stay healthy.

Williams is the real deal. He has great hands and in the last two weeks has made two amazing catches. That catch last week, in the end zone, was a 11 on a scale of 1-10. His third down catch in today's game was nearly as good. It's hard to believe this is the same guy who looked so awkward just a few weeks ago?

I think the odd man out is Miles Austin. Romo trusts Williams and Beasley more than Miles and he can't stay healthy. Beasley won't ever be doubled, but Williams will eventually.

That isn't by design, it's by necessity.
