The belief is based on Switzer being drafted to take his place and the two of them having similar skill sets.

Coles numbers were way down like most of the receiving stats.

Just fan/blogger speculation.

Fans obsess about players that are paid more than the minimum if they're not at least a considerion for the Pro Bowl.

They can go to training camp and if other WRs are better, then they can consider moving on; although, one reason they drafted Switzer was for depth at slot-WR.

I'd like to see Switzer actually beat him out rather than get rid of Beasley to allow a player who had six receptions last year to just step in as the slot receiver.

Will turn him into the league MVP but please get something decent for him.
I haven't been convinced yet that Switzer can replace Bease honestly.

I've actually heard and read this myself, and it really doesn't make sense.

I think if Dallas asked for something reasonable NE would probably give it, say a 4th or 5th. He is tailored for that offense.

I'd rather get rid of Scott Linehan... especially if he cannot deploy both ankle breakers in the game at the same time to create a mismatch.
If we can't stretch the field vertically we might as well do it horizontally.

Dallas isnt looking to do anything with him.

you can pay him next year in FA, or replace him with Switzer who is similar but with more special teams skill and still on a rookie contract.

for something like that to ever happen around here...it would take our other wr's getting injured during a game before any of our coaches could think up such a scenario.

No cap savings this year and we now need another outside receiver. Hey, I'm not opposed to moving T-Will but I doubt the FO is.
