Per over the cap, Cole Beasley signed a four year $13.6 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys on March 3, 2015. Beasley received a $4 million signing bonus and $5 million in full guarantees. His 2016 salary will become fully guaranteed of on the roster the 5th day of the 2016 League Year. He is eligible for annual $500,000 escalators.

The front office has a big decision once his contract is expiring at the end of this season. Beasley has been a reliable player for this franchise.

He caught 75 passes from Dak in 2016 for 833 yards for 5TDs. In 2017, his production dropped off while only catching 36 balls for 314 yards and 4TDs. But we all know how much of a disaster 2017 was for everyone. He has already surpassed last years numbers this season catching 48 passes for 468 yards and 2 scores. And is the teams 2nd leading receiver.

How would you handle Beasley at the end of this year? Do you let him walk in free agency and if so how do you plan on replacing his production. Or do you ink him to a new deal.

Personally, I think he is worth a new contract and slightly over pay him considering his past deal.

4 years 22-24 million
2019 Cap Number 4.5 million
2020 Cap Number 5.5 million
2021 Cap Number 6 million
2022 Cap Number 6.5 million (if cut, 6.5 million in cap savings.

I'd say 4 years for 24 million would be my ceiling on him. But if ends up walking, trading Switzer made absolutely no sense. We used a 4th round pick on him and basically got nothing in return.

Tavon Austin is just to injury prone to be tasked with the starting slot receiver position. Can't count on him.

After his explosion against Jax he sent up one of his TD balls to jerry and wrote something to the tune of get your checkbook out.

He has also stated that he feels he should be paid amongst the top slot receivers.

Feel like $5.5m AAV is underpaying from his vantage point, not overpaying.

Given his age, his limited skill set, his very modest output, and the ease of acquiring solid slot receivers, I would let him walk. Or possibly move Cooper to slot, and find a speedster for the Y receiver spot.

The Bease only has a few games left as a Cowboy.

Hard to see him returning at this point.

I'd let him walk. I like Beasley and he's played well over the years for the Cowboys. That said, I think you can get a lot more out of the position. I don't know that even Hurns or Austin wouldn't be a better option at this point. Other than gaining descent separation what exactly does Beasley bring to the position?

Like any other FA without knowing what contract is being asked for there is no way of saying yes or no. I would like to see Beasley remain but it would have to be at a good cost for Dallas in order to keep him. With Cooper and Gallup in the lineup if Beasley asking price is too expensive then I would let him walk

He has excellent quickness and very good hands, only problems with his game is a lack of top end speed and he doesn't have the size to break most tackles.

He won't be back. Here's his replacement:

Coop
Gallup
Austin

^starters next season. Book it.

Seriously? He's played 3 games this season
Yes, I am. He's shown how explosive he can be without Cooper on the field. He's faster than Beasley, he's younger, better kickoff or punt returner, and I think he won't command as much money.

With Coop and Gallup, we get to see Tavon vs CB3s, safeties, and LBs - in space? Drool.

Beasley will be gone due to money demands.
Austin will be gone due to always being injured.
t.will will be gone due to not having played the entire year.
a new infusion of wr's will be necessary. unknowns are brown, lenoir and hurns.
