He was weighing in on the Key/Owens feud and pretty felt this was Parcells' team.

Reasons sited:

They are even grooming Jason Garrett to be the head coach.

He was fired 2 times before arriving in Dallas.

Just because he jumps into the mercedes and turns on the ignition doesn't mean he is automatically a genius.

He goes on to play an interview asking Barry Switzer to weigh in on the subject

<Interview>
Switzer: Jason Garrett deserves the credit, he is moving the ball and has been a big factor. He has the running game going strong and Romo is playing well.

Switzer: In my opinion, Jason Garrett has had more impact on this team than anybody

This stopped being Parcell's team after he QUIT.

I don't believe these media guys. Do any of them really believe BP could have gotten the Cowboys to this record?

Sure, BP played a big role in getting many of the players here. He did coach here for several years!

But then the Steelers should be Cower's team, and the Chargers should be Shotty's team, etc.

If BP really thought he could win a Super Bowl with us, he probably would have stayed on.

Cowherd saying it pretty much confirms the opposite.

Is he still saying the Packers are better than us?

I stopped listening to Cowherd the day after Kirby Puckett died and Cowherd was bashing him for like 2 hours.

Cowturd has the worst sports talk show I have ever heard, I can't stand him, he is the ultimate blowhard, saying things just to stir the pot.

Colin Cowherd is pretty much a ****tard.

Here's what the current ESPN ombudsman thinks of a typical Cowherd opinion.

With the notable exception of ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd, ESPN's commentators did better than many in the mainstream media at reining in the impulse to speculate, pontificate and prematurely assign responsibility for Taylor's death. Cowherd, however, trusted his "gut feeling" to guide him to "the truth." His gut told him that Taylor's "history of really, really bad judgment, really really bad judgment" had caught up with him, and even if the emerging reports that Taylor had "cleaned up his act" were true, "Well, yeah, just because you clean the rug doesn't mean you got everything out. Sometimes you've got stains, stuff so deep it never ever leaves."

Most other ESPN commentators seemed to understand that when it comes to race, crime and sports, the last source to be trusted is one's gut, which tends to be lined with bilious stereotypes and prejudices. Some commentators, including Michael Wilbon of "Pardon The Interruption," admitted to not being surprised by the shooting, of suspecting a link to Taylor's past associates or enemies, but they aired their presumptions tentatively, with sadness or anger at the "senseless death" of yet another young black man, not in the gloating, know-it-all voice that many of Cowherd's listeners called "appalling" and "indecent" in their e-mails to me.

Exactly. If the Cowboys were 5-8 right now, who's team is it now? Wade, BP. I guess Wade would be responsible for the poor play.

Bottom line, BP was great for the Cowboys. He was the right coach at the right time for this team. After Campo, this team was a mess. BP drafted some good players, and set us up for sucess. THe current coaching staff is taking us to the next level.

The ESPN ombudsman is awesome. The first time I feel like the network's viewers really had a voice that mattered.

If last year's mercedes sprouts wings and a jet pack when he turns the key, it does.

Just in the interest of fairness, last years team scored 425 pts. This years team will end up scoring probably around one TD more per game. Its not really that much of a jump, statisitically speaking. Romo has gotten better with more experience, TO is healthy. Those factors are probably at least partly responsible for the better pts per game.

  • 7 more points in home opener last year atleast gets up playing overtime vs Jags
  • a win over Washington game 1
  • and a chance against Detroit in last game.
That could have been a +3 in win column... 9-7 could have been 12-4..... then look at this year....

I'm just saying.....

that guy is horrible, how does he have a national radio show.

Not only does he have the worst voice, he is a moron who talks about nothing but the top stories because that is all he has. He is on in dallas now and I wont listen to 1 second of his nonsense.

I heard him one time for 2 hours last summer. He came off as the biggest dope ever to me, and he seems to only be able to talk about the pete rose, roger clemens, pats going 16-0, barry bonds stuff.

in other words, He has a bag of nothing.

Cowherd also said that Dallas would finish 3rd in the NFCE at the start of the season.
