that's exactly what jerry wants. he once said I think about 15-16 years ago, that bad publicity is good as long as we are in the news.
so he loves the fact fans hating dallas and fans loving dallas, because both of those bring attention. its fans who don't care, that won't do anything.

some young, bored co-worker over hears it, at home bored...thinking of something to google, they read up a little on the cowboys...even if not a football fan...that little knowledge that person now knows about the Cowboys causes them to leave the channel on a cowboys game.....its a slippery slope

the above sounds unheard of and i will get laughed at...but thats how its done....drama sucks people in...even to people that dont find football entertaining

it works...but its really really just ruining something for money.

All it did was paint a bigger target on our backs. Any team in the league is free to take it.

We can only hope this down era will finally strip this tremendous burden the AT label has bestowed on our franchise.

A label Landry attempted to shoot down that he claimed would place a target on our backs and provide opponents more incentive to beat us. But Tex was determined to maximize the growing popularity of the Cowboys in the 70’s.

Please please . Rid us of this burden we’ve had for almost half a century. We just want to be our local and regional team.

Of course it’s a burden when the team is a laughingstock that can’t handle pressure! People love to see that and the Cowboys are very good at giving them exactly what they’re looking for! That’s the Jerry effect because once upon a time that name represented poise and the ability persevere. Now people just equate it to tv ratings!

Weird....but in today's climate, I applaud any kid that has nothing to do with social media. My daughter and her husband are both 24....neither of them had it. Maybe that has a little to do with them being successful and useful members of society at their young age.

It really is the root cause of the downfall of society.

Other fans have always LOL at that moniker....but, the disdain they have for the Cowboys is one of the main reasons we are.
