Almost as dumb as the Romo extension. Kaepernick is not a $100 million QB.

I do not get the love for Kaepernick. He has to be one of the two or three most overrated QBs in the NFL.

That's the market.
Not compared to the lunacy in baseball, but in the cap controlled fooball world, QB pay has gotten crazy.

I figured he would get some money but this is WAY more than I ever thought they would pay. Talk about going all in on a QB.

61 million guaranteed is the highest anyone has ever received. This makes Romo deal look even better and my Niner fans are now saying ***. Reports out here in the Bay area it is 6 yrs for 110 mil.

I think I could live off $380,000 every 2 weeks for the next 6 years. That'll be enough to buy ramen. Its ridiculous how much athletes get paid!

Good news for the rest of the NFC I guess. Soon Wilson be overpaid and both Seahawks and 49ers will start losing players as cap casualties.

This.

And some here think Stephen Jones is a bad cap manager.

Well he is, but this still a lot of money. I wonder if this will stop him wearing rivals hats.

Certainly a lot of money for a guy who couldn't carry Romo's jock when it comes to the passing game.

And just think that Kaepernick has been blessed with:

-An outstanding offensive line, arguably the best in the NFL.
-An top-notch running game.
-A very good tight-end.
-Good wide receivers... not great... but good.
-An outstanding defense.

Take away just one of those benefits and how much worse does he get?

True, but he's only 26. I'm not gonna say he will get worse for sure, but I also won't write him off, Flacco and Eli taught me that. Time is on his side.

You're right... Even though Flacco doesn't knock my socks off either as an elite passing game QB. Eli (obviously) has his moments when he can light it up via the passing game.

In addition, running QB's... can be broken QB's in a blink of an eye.
