A nice light topic.

Do you guys wear cologne, and if so, what kind?

I rotate between a few. Polo Safari is nice. I also really like John Varvatos original.

My wife bought me Varvatos Artisan but I don't like that as much.

In the past I've used Fahrenheit and Polo original and had women on the street compliment me on my scent.

I wear a lot for sure. Admin at my office told me to tone down once but I'm partner now so I don't have to listen to her anymore ;)

I've worn others too but too many to list.

So who here wears and what do you wear?

No, 99.999% of them stink. They choke me up when I put them on. The only cologne that I own and actually can wear in very light doses is "Very Sexy". My wife (who is the same way as I and doesn't wear perfume) bought it for me one day. She said it's the only one that didn't smell like garbage and the scent wasn't so strong it would choke you up when you put it on. She was right. I still only wear it maybe once a year and only when her and I go out for dinner and maybe a jazz bar in the city.

For the life of me I do not understand people who choose to douse themselves in aromas. Subtle use here and there I can tolerate and in rare situations maybe even enjoy. But its the exception, not the rule.

Then there are the scents that some choose. Really? You think that is somehow enjoyable for someone?

I work with a woman who violates both of the above. Very pretty, professional, accomplished woman. But she wears a scent that to me is atrocious in any dosage and sometimes pours it on very thick. I've been in meetings with her where I was literally sick afterwards.

I'll just stick to the good old lady killer Hai Karate. :laugh2:

Can't use any of that stuff seems to be the only thing I'm allergic to

To me though, there are few offenses as great as people that wear cheap cologne. You're better off taking a shower and using deodorant than cheap cologne.

I use cologne every now and then. I'm a one spritz guy so a bottle can last me years.

Currently on a bottle of The One by Dolce and Gabbana that my fiance purchased. Before that, I had a bottle of Black Code by Armani that I also liked in moderation.

To each his own, but I never get the point of trying to color the smell of an entire room with your fragrance of choice. Be you a man or woman.

I wear cologne occasionaly if I go to a club/bar, mainly to cover the second hand smoke smell. But God theres nothing worse than waking up the next morning and still smelling that cologne.

As far as cologne going bad, this chick i dated back in the early 90's, her grandmother gave me some Preffered Stock for Christmas; its in my bathroom cabinet now and smells the same.
