Colombo is starting.

No surprise, they've been saying it all week.

I expect we'll see Free some too. In fact I bet there are some short yadage plays where either he or Colombo will be one of the extra blockers.

Also, as athletic as Free is, I wouldnt be shocked to see a tackle eligible play today if we are close to the GL. There's a ton of film showing Barber over and over in short yardage sets. They might fake to him and throw to Free.

I thought of this also. With Free's speed, or quickness, he ought to be a natural for a tackle eligible. I would love to see this. I think it would even work from the ten yard line. What DB is going to bring him down.

I know what you mean Hos....I really do, but why do this when things are going so well? The "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" analogy is very useful here.

Some Cowboys "insiders" disagree with the call.

Ware and Barber are both ready to go.

For the life of me I cant understand why anyone CANT grasp this concept.

Colombo will start, he played well before his injury and he is a seasoned veteran. Free played extremely well while he was out. If Colombo shows signs of struggling, they will simply replace him during the game. Just becaus he starts, doesnt mean someone cant take his place later. I'm quite sure this is something the coaches have conveyed to Colombo as well.

This is not rocket science.

After looking at some of the game last week, Free's man got lose several times and put pressure on Romo. I wish someone had asked Wade how Free graded out this past week. I have a feeling he probably wasn't the top OL last week. One good play doesn't make up for several ah-shoots in the NFL.

I have no problem making the change, because we can always send him back in, plus we have confidence this time that he can handle the job.

People forget that a big part of Colombo's game is his leadership and being arguably the nastiest tempered guy on the team.

That being said, can Free run a 9 route? :p:

I think the concern is with using a playoff game, or any portion of it, as an experiment.

Colombo is not an unproven player. They have seen him all week long if they did not feel he was ready to get into the game they would hold him out.
