I am officially worried about Colombo. His play last night is shades of what I saw at training camp. Colombo is looking a little slow and we don't have a viable option to replace him.

In order to realize our hopes and dreams Colombo got to step it up.

It's too bad he doesn't have Barron's younger body and talent.

Those catastrophic leg injuries Colombo has suffered have taken their toll. I don't know. Maybe Barron can play out there. Sam Young looks like the best of the young tackles (by far).

I must admit that I am somewhat worried as well. I don't know if Barron can perfrom better at RT. Brewster does not appear to the be the answer at RT either---he might be a OG in a OT's body.

I have a feeling that this time next year, the OL will be missing Colombo, Bigg and perhaps Kosier as well. Meanwhile, back at the Ranch, we have what we have for this season.

Just a side note here---remember the 2009 draft-we had Phil Loadholt's name written down on the card for the second round pick, but then traded that spot away for later picks. Loadholt started at RT for the Vikes last year as a rookie.

Yes, he looked very shaky last night. Got beat several times on the first and 2nd drives. Let's hope its not a trend.

Our back-ups are sketchy as well. McQuistan, no power whatsoever, he got manhandled while playing tight end. Brewster, Young look like rookies so I will give them another year.

Sam Young is a future starter in this league for sure.

Maybe they are our future but that's not this year. Our hopes to go deep into the playoffs & hopefully even the SB will depend mostly on the ability of our OL. Thank God we have Free instead of Adams, but rest of the OL, except maybe for Kosier, is a problem. Jerry better pick up another experienced OL who can start at RT and an interior OL who can start there. Obviously we will be in deep trouble.

I agree. The oline has been dreadful so far and Colombo seems to be the worst of it. Doug Free has looked great so far though. Wade has supposedly called the oline unacceptable so at least he's acknowledged there's a huge problem there.

It is an area of concern (and we were worried about Left Tackle). I think Barron is going to have to pick up his play and earn that spot. Barron has the talent, just don't know about his mental lapses.

Colombo has gotten somewhat of a free pass the last couple of years. He has not been as good as been made out to be, but because he has an attitude and gets in the oppositions face people tend to overlook his deficiencies. He had as many if not more penalties as Flozell the last couple of years while not facing the consistent level of pass rushers as Flozell faced. Colombo has been decent for Dallas, but nothing special. Last night he struggled and he can't play like that in the regular season.

Yep, he got beat by a vanilla pass rush. Nothing exotic about a guy running right around you. A little bit later Dallas had the running back chip the pass rusher to that side.

I think it has gotten worse. He was good to decent before the injury. After the injury he looked abysmal and it appears that he can't shake whatever is bothering him.

Side note and speaking of passes, guess who was tied with Flo for the lead in false starts for the boys last season?

I am not so sure Colombo is playing worse this year. What i think many fail to notice is that Colombo has had no chipping help this year. Almost every play Doug Free has the running back or tight end chipping to his side. Would be interesting if someone could chart how much help he is getting this year compared to last year.

Also, Two of those sacks Colombos guy looped around for the sack. They were coverage sacks. I am not worried about the O-Line, i am worried about the wide receivers not getting open or Romo holding onto the ball too long.

I said right before the draft that Dallas should release Colombo, move Free to LT and move Flozell to RT. Our OL would be looking a whole lot better right now.

My worry has little to do with the sacks. He is looking slower and for a player who was not known for being fleet of foot that is a concern.

The guy looks done to me, not a sky is falling conclusion. The guy has had a number of leg injuries and guys can lose it overnight in the NFL. I do think Lamar Houston is gonna be a player, just not as good as he looked last night.
