We should definitely snap him up. Because third round talent isn't usually available on the street the season they're drafted. If that doesn't scream 'keeper' to y'all, I don't know what does.

LMAO - I thought your were a big McGee fan

a UT HOMER EH

Cleveland won't cut Colt this year. It is rare for 3rd rounders to get cut. Holmgren likes him and he will make the final roster choices. Holmgren will get rid of Mangini before he gets rid of McCoy.

I am not surprised McCoy is struggling so far. I don't see him being highly successful in the NFL.

I'm a big Colt McCoy fan but even I had major doubts about how McCoy would do at this level. I think the kid was a great college QB but not sure it will translate to the NFL. I'm sure he will get more time to develop but I think it is still an uphill battle for him.

But is he as good as the highest rated passer in NCAA history Josh Johnson? Or most NCAA passing yards in a season BJ Symon? Most NCAA passing yards in a game David Klinger? Or most NCAA career yards Timmy Chang?

I don't have a horse in this race but I notice when UT players are involved the same cast of blind haters and lovers come to bash them or build them up....only occassionaly any true objectiveness.

It IS entertaining.

pass accuracy is more important than any of those stats you listed for a QB trying to make it in the NFL. ill also bet on the winning-est QB ever as well

at least the lovers put there **** out there for people to **** on while the haters just sit back never naming the college team or players they root for and just **** on players because they are from X school and players from X position from said school always suck.

That will be great news for Colt Brennan and reason for him to keep his head up as he looks for a new NFL job, considering his NCAA completion rate was through the roof.

I don't think it should be surprising that McCoy is struggling with the NFL game at this point. IF he makes it in this league, it will probably take at least 2-3 years for him to start producing, and I'm pretty sure Cleveland knew that when they drafted him. He wasn't given much of a chance when he got to UT and look how he ended up. I'm sure he will relish the chance to get better and prove his critics wrong. Unlike most of the fat-a$$es on this thread, Colt has actually accomplished something in life and will try to make the best out of the opportunity he's been given.

____college success led to projections that he would be a mid-to-late first round draft pick in the NFL Draft, but he slipped due to concerns about his relatively short stature for a professional quarterback (6'0"), a perceived lack of arm strength, and a sense that he had succeeded in college in a system designed for him

guess whos wiki page this is from?

Colt's season high was 76.67% and his career mark is 70.33%.

Other guys have high career marks as well. Colt Brennan has the record for a career at 70.39%. McCoy broke Duante Culpepper's season high mark.

David Greene held the record for most wins and has not done squat in the NFL.

Completion percentage is a factor in passer efficiency, so a high passing efficiency number would seem to be a decent indicator than just looking at completion percentage alone.

You could copy and paste that to either Colt Brennan's or Colt McCoys profile.

Do you ever see any UT fan posting anything bad about an OU player now in the NFL? We don't because we couldn't care less. For whatever reason, some people are absolutely hate-obsessed with the Longhorns. I have my theories why...anyways, it's pretty pathetic.
