I keep reading these posts of Manning and the Colts being such a "machine", etc.....yet the facts just don't bear this out.

Everybody on here knows how we have struggled in the past to even average 17 points....now, we are well above that at near 28 points a game. We've scored 250 points.

Surely, this "machine" would score more than 250 points right? Well, they haven't. 249 points for them. Yet, we are a team that has struggled offensively (reportedly), and they are a team that is just a "machine".

Now let's just look at Romo and Bledsoe vs. Manning....
Completion % Yards TD INT Rating
Manning: 65.6 2527 18 3 104.5
Romo: 65.6 1124 8 4 101.2
Bledsoe 53.3 1164 7 8 69.2

Looking at the total yardage for our team vs. the Colts in passing is pretty close at 2527 to 2288. A total of 239 yards and this includes us having a guy that has only had 3 starts in his career.

How about points against?

Colts: 189
Cowboys: 174

Hmmmmm....
The Colts have the #16 defense....Cowboys are ranked #3.

A well oiled machine? Seems pretty even statistically, but you would never know it.

The ONLY thing that the Colts have going for them is their record.......which doesn't mean a thing come game time.

Actually, stats don't mean a thing period once the game begins.

The point is this....the Colts are NOT a well-oiled machine as people on here have been lead to believe. They are just as beatable as any team in this NFL.

I would say a machine, but missing some of the oil it had last year!

Then go ahead and post the "evidence " of this "machine". I have no problem if people can post something to back up a claim of them being a machine, but I just haven't seen this machine yet. Jets by 3, Titans by 1, Bills by 1, etc.

Yes. Agreed.

I am getting tired of people saying the Colts can win it all this year. IMO anyway, the Colts were so much better last year and look where they ended up, same place we did along with 29 other teams. Out the big game.

Edge is gone, DW isnt getting any of the sacks he got last year, their run defense is EVEN WORSE... this team is human. The Pats should have won if not a surprise bad coaching job by the Pats. Buffalo kept close, the Jets kept it close and so on.

No gimmes on Sunday but lets be calm about this game guys.

Is that why they're 9-0 and the 'Boys are 5-4?

Strangely I have a good feeling about this game. I just think we match up well against them.

Look at the teams that have had success against them, New England, San Diego, Pittsburgh. All play pretty conservative, run first offenses. That's us, check.

All play the 3-4 defense. You can argue that we aren't the Pats D from the last few years, or whatever you want, but this defense has been pretty good this year.

Indy isn't a physical team. When they lose, it's because they get smacked in the mouth. We are a bigger, stronger team. Indy is finesse. Both on offense and defense. I trully think we match up well with them.

Look at our rankings, in offense, defense, Turn Over margin, 3rd down percentage, Red Zone offense. If it wasn't for stupidity, this might very well have been a 9-0 team vs a 7-2 team.

This team needs to come out and play 4 quarters of football like they know how to play. If they win against Indy, lookout. That fire will be lit.

Maybe we come out like we did against Philly last year? Hit them in the mouth and just kept hitting.....

This shows we have the "potential" of being what they are.

Stupid penalties, drops, and kicking. :bang2::bang2::bang2:

While I respect the Colts abilities, they do not scare me at all.

What concerns me is our own mistakes...Clean up our act and we roll over them.

I don't equate scoring with being a machine. I do equate doing what it takes to win as being a machine. I don't know how much the Bears have scored. I think they are a "machine" because they can find ways to win with their defense, special teams, or offense.

I do think it's cool that we've scored more than them. I hope after Sunday that is still the case. :D

I dont equate anything to win but WHO wants it MORE... Talk is cheap.. The Cowboys have the talent.....But lack focus.....Look across the field and you see the key to Indy's success... Peyton Manning...He is focused and precise...the Cowboys can get the win as long as they play smart.....

Its time for leaders to step up and be Leaders...and players to make plays..... this Could be the start of something special for Cowboys........Bill getter DONE....

Cant wait tell sunday...

I don't doubt we can win this game, but having watched them play Denver in Denver and NE in NE it seems that when they are "interested" they are a machine. They just carved Denver's D up like it was flag football.

But their QB is a well-oiled machine, and at this point would be a runnaway MVP for the entire NFL.

The Cowboys can certainly win...any team can win...but we will have to be the anti-Cowboys to do it, meaning no stupid mistakes like a punter dropping the snap, the return men dropping the ball or the return unit backing us up with penalties, no turnovers on our side of the 50, consistant blocking for the backs and QB, no receivers dropping passes on 3rd down, no meltdowns in the secondary by anyone, and a team that has 30 yards or fewer in penalties, avoiding the big ones for holding, Personal fouls, and interference.

The Colts can make some mistakes and give up points or field position and still win because they've proven with Manning that they can do anything from anywhere, go deep or pick you apart 5 yards at a time with execution. The Cowboys have not proven that, and we don't want to put our young QB in terrible situations very often.

The Cowboys can win, but they can't play like the Cowboys we've been seeing...even the Cowboys of last Sunday would be in trouble with penalties and other mistakes that a team with 8 wins more than the Cardinals will make us pay for.

This is a game that will be pretty clear at the half...we'll either be playing well and in a winable game, or it will be slipping out of reach by halftime...that's not a game I want to see.

3 billion human lives ended on August 29th, 2027. The survivors of the nuclear fire called the war Judgment Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare: the war against the machines. The computer which controlled the machines, Skynet, sent one team of Terminators back through time. Their mission: to destroy the teams of the NFL.

This team of Terminators are known as the Colts and the lead Terminator is known as Petyon Manninator.
