Anyone can throw for big yards but the key is to avoid turnovers and capitalize on the plays you make. Manning's measely 3 interceptions through 9 games is outrageous. We have 11 picks and numerous QB fumbles.

I would give anything to trade those useless blowout points we racked up against Houston, Tennessee, Washington#1, Arizona, and Carolina and spread them out over our Washington#2, New York, Philly, and Jacksonville games.

We have 250 points, 1 more than the Colts, but the Colts have used those points far, far more effectively than we have.

I would think their schedule has been much more difficult than what we've faced so far. I think we've had pretty much one of the easiest schedules in the entire league based on this year's results. Although we did play some teams that were good when healthy i.e. jags.

And our defense is most definitely not 3rd best in the league. Has the potential sure... but it has not played up to that level. Much of it early on is on Watkins' growing pains and Bledsoe pathetic turnovers giving horrible field position, but in recent big games, there's no excuse. At least the D dominates games vs the texans, titans and cardinals though.

The point is this....the Colts are NOT a well-oiled machine as people on here have been lead to believe. They are just as beatable as any team in this NFL.

The thing that stands out of me is that the Colts have found a way to win in every game. We, on the other hand, have shot ourselves in the foot several times.

That would lead me to believe that Indianapolis will find a way to win or we will find a way to lose. One penalty on a critical play can make the difference.

I hope this is the week when we put it all together and play like a well-oiled machine. We have the ability in us to beat Indianapolis, but we also have the ability to self-destruct. I have yet to see the Colts self-destruct.

Strangely I have a good feeling about this game. I just think we match up well against them.

Look at the teams that have had success against them, New England, San Diego, Pittsburgh. All play pretty conservative, run first offenses. That's us, check.

All play the 3-4 defense. You can argue that we aren't the Pats D from the last few years, or whatever you want, but this defense has been pretty good this year.

Indy isn't a physical team. When they lose, it's because they get smacked in the mouth. We are a bigger, stronger team. Indy is finesse. Both on offense and defense. I trully think we match up well with them.

Look at our rankings, in offense, defense, Turn Over margin, 3rd down percentage, Red Zone offense. If it wasn't for stupidity, this might very well have been a 9-0 team vs a 7-2 team.

This team needs to come out and play 4 quarters of football like they know how to play. If they win against Indy, lookout. That fire will be lit.

You mean like the 43 Indy racked up on Houston, the 31 on the Jets, the 36 on Washington?

How about the 14 they managed to tally on Tennessee?

I'm not saying Indy is over-rated by any stretch, but they have plenty of useless points too, and squeeked by on 1 point against both Tenn and Buffalo.

We cut down on the turnovers and Romo continues to play as he has and we can play with anyone. T.O., GLenn, Witten, the 2 RBs and now possibly Romo match up with anyone as long as the O-line comes to play. And Indy has 1 guy remotely scary on their front 7.

i am a bronco fan and a huge Romo Fan.My girlfriend lived in IL.

but people,i have to tell you that some of you guys are in for a big suprise.Manning is a machine and seems to score at will when he HAS to.No matter what you do,he keeps coming.those Colt wideouts are unreal and Edge being gone is a joke.That rook they have may even be better.The Colt defense is way underated because they have guys that make plays.Just pray that safety(cant remember)and stokly doesn't play and they make mistakes.I love Roy Williams but that Safety they have is the best i have seen in years.

I agree 9-0 teams are not lucky they are good and the colts are a damn good team. To win Dallas is going to have to play quality football with few mistakes

This is what I have noticed as well. Seems like when interested they have, at least offensively, played great football. I think we can win, and am looking forward to the game.

I keep reading these posts of Manning and the Colts being such a "machine", etc.....yet the facts just don't bear this out.

Everybody on here knows how we have struggled in the past to even average 17 points....now, we are well above that at near 28 points a game. We've scored 250 points.

Surely, this "machine" would score more than 250 points right? Well, they haven't. 249 points for them. Yet, we are a team that has struggled offensively (reportedly), and they are a team that is just a "machine".

Now let's just look at Romo and Bledsoe vs. Manning....

Looking at the total yardage for our team vs. the Colts in passing is pretty close at 2527 to 2288. A total of 239 yards and this includes us having a guy that has only had 3 starts in his career.

How about points against?

The ONLY thing that the Colts have going for them is their record.......which doesn't mean a thing come game time.

Without knowing the exact context in which people as you say are calling the Colts a "machine", it would be very difficult to disprove or approve of what they said.

Are they talking about this year alone? Are they taking into account recent history? Are they talking about the offense only? Are they talking offense, defense, and special teams? There are a lot of variables to be had.

I would call their offense a machine in general based upon this year and recent history.

If you discount Peyton's rookie year the Colts offense in terms of points scored (starting this year and going back) #4, 2, 1, 2, 17, 2, 4, and 3.

During this period of time (1999-2006) the Colts record is 86-35. They have started two consecutive years at 9-0.

All of this meanwhile has been accomplished with an average defense at best in all but two of eight years.

So yeah, in my estimation their offense is a machine. They throw in some clunkers every now and then, but overall they have the best offense going for years now.

We match up great with them, but when Manning's on, they are a machine. He's been on all year. Denver tried to hold them down, New England tried, everyone's tried, and came close. But everytime Manning keeps it close, and even if his defense craps the bed, like they always do, he comes right back at you. And noone's been able to stop that.

When the Colts play against a winning team, they are +10. This means they take away the ball 12 more times than they turn it over. If they were "only" say, +5 in those games, their record would be something like 6-3.

Against non-winning teams, the Colts turnover margin is -4.
