Colts Injury Report off their website today

INJURY NOTESHere is the injury report for Wednesday:

-DNP- Gosder Cherilus (groin), Josh Cribbs (rest), Vontae Davis (groin), T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) D’Qwell Jackson (rest), Joe Reitz (ankle), Hugh Thornton (knee) and Erik Walden (knee).
-Hilton didn’t elaborate too much on his hamstring injury when talking to the media on Wednesday other than saying if he was 60-70 percent, he would be on the field Sunday. Pagano, who ultimately has the final say on Hilton’s availability for Sunday, is “hopeful” to have the Colts leading receiver in Dallas.

I would love it if Hilton did not play. Why would they put a 6-70 percent hilton out there wit a hamstring injury? That would be idiotic. My guess is if he plays, he's pretty close to 100%, regardless of what he says.

Vontae Davis will play.

My thinking exactly. Why would you test a shifty speed receiver's hamstring? Doens't make sense. Not in a game with nothing to gain if you win.

I think Hilton is out. I don't see them playing him on that hamstring as shifty of a runner he is. He's going to be their pulse in the playoffs. Playing him Sunday wouldn't be smart at all.

A few notes:

• T.Y. Hilton is day-to-day with his hamstring injury, head coach Chuck Pagano said today. On Monday, Pagano mentioned that Hilton's MRI was negative and said that he expected him back at practice later this week. The target date was Thursday, so we'll see if Hilton is out there practicing tomorrow. Pagano said today that he is "hopeful" that Hilton will be available for Sunday's game at Dallas. Today, however, Hilton - the team's leading receiver - didn't practice.
• Vontae Davis also missed practice today with a groin injury, and obviously losing him would be crushing. The hope is still that Davis will play on Sunday, though, so this will be something to watch as the week goes on.
• Hugh Thornton and Joe Reitz still aren't back practicing, but they're day-to-day. In addition, Gosder Cherilus missed practice today with a groin injury.
• Josh Cribbs and D'Qwell Jackson both received a rest day today. Interestingly, for the second straight week Reggie Wayne practiced on Wednesday after taking that day off for a veteran's rest day for most of the season. Last week Pagano said they were trying different things with Reggie and rested him on Friday, so I expect that to be the case this week again.

And every fall when the grass turns brown and the Colts play the Cowboys we'll let you win if your record is bad and trade a few players for the journey. Pagano: It's sad that owners are GM'ed by the double-tongues. There is iron in your word of a healthy team for all colts to see. And so there is iron in your words of a playoff berth. No signed paper can hold the iron, it must come from coaches. The words of Pagano carries the same iron of healthy teams and playoff births. It is good that coaches such as we meet in the struggle of injuries and playoff games. It shall be health/playoffs. I would cut my hand and put it up to the phone however that would be kind of dumb.

Hamstrings can be so tricky that I don't know why they would risk him in a game that ultimately matters so little.

Reverse the situation -- would we even entertain playing Murray if our playoff seeding was basically fixed already?

I won't take anything at this point from any reports. We have injuries too, and know nothing on the true status of the players.
Will wait more to Friday. But thanks for this. I didn't know about Hilton. That can be a huge difference for our defense. If he's 80% by Friday, I bet he plays.

I agree. If the role was reversed and Cowboys had division clinched and Dez was dealing with a hamstring I would not want to see Dez out there. Knowing how important he is for post season.

Dallas has to get ready as if Hilton is going to play but personally I think it is a bit foolish on the colts part.

This. Far too many times we've faced teams with no healthy starting CB's yet our WR's get shut down. Or 2nd and 3rd string QB's have pro bowl-esque games vs us. Just play whoever it is like they're all starters.
