Isn't this about the 100th time they have worked him out since his release???

They are contemplating whether or not they want to sign him or send him back to the minors.:lmao2: :laugh2:

but he's the best Dallascowboys QB prospect since Troy Aikman!!!! sacarsm off/

I somewhat agree with you assesment. I'd expect him seek out a roster spot that doesn't have a entrenched proven starter.

He must have had a come to Jesus talk withhis handlers. I'd expect him to go to a team like the Raiders or Browns.

He's not surpassing Big Ben, Delhomme or Manning in this lifetime. He's not even proven he can be an average back-up.

Actually if I was running the Henson show, I would advise him to go to San Fran (Norv), Houston (Kuniak) or Denver (Shanahan) to try and bring him back to where he was before BP ruined him....lol.

Your quote in bold above probably explains why he hasn't found a job with a team like the Browns or Raiders - since he hasn't even proven himself as a back-up, how could they possibly give much consideration to grooming him as a starter?

The fact is, it's likely that Henson doesn't have the choice of whatever team he would prefer - he's just trying to find work at this point.

If Henson is signed by Indy it will not be to compete aginst Manning it will be to get his foot back in the door. It will allow him to continue to work and improve so that he may get a shot down the road with another team.
I suspect they all really know that. But will they admit it? I don't know.

I actually think Houston is the best place for him. Carr has a high QB rating so far this year, but he kills the team with his fumbled snaps. Kubiak would provide a quarterback-centered environment for him.

I think Carr is out of Houston by next offseason. Henson could go back to the team that drafted hiim. It is amazing how so many fans are down on Carr. He is in his 5th year now, and looks no better than a career backup. Remember, Aikman was winning Super Bowls in his 4th-5th year, and started out with a much worse team than the expansion Texans. Texan fans often draw this comparison between Carr and Aikman.

I doubt he would even want to come back to Dallas. In his mind he would have to feel he was not given much of a chance to compete this past pre-season. I don't fault the Cowboys on that but I could clearly understand Henson frustration. I don't know what is ahead of Henson he may get a chance else where or not, time will tell.
I'm sure he'd play for anyone who'd have him at this point... even if it was for the Cowboys again. The guy is very close to being a footnote in the NFL.

Maybe but I doubt it. Henson can't be feeling that he was given an equal shot at the job. Now having said that I don't think team owes any player an equal shot you get what ever opportunity comes your way. What you do with that opportunity is all on you. I would also doubt that the organization would go back to the same player after releasing him unless that player has gone out and proven himself else where.

Who do you think the team is going to give the better shot to,,,,

the guy they traded a 3rd round pick for, or the one that was a free agent pick up.

Henson had his shot and he did not get it done. The guy was an obvious long shot IMO, he only played a handfull of games in college, and then spent 3 years playing baseball.

No one should be surprised that he failed to stick. Although IMO, the Cowboys should have let him spend two years in Europe right off the bat so that he could get some actual game playing time and then try and develop him.

I'm not saying the Cowboys did anything wrong. Parcells saw something he liked in Romo more so than he did in Henson. I don't think anyone can say the snaps were 50/50 between the 2 but then I don't expect that in sports. As I said I think when you’re giving an opportunity you make the most of it because you may not get many more. Henson did not show Parcells wanted to see and even Parcells could not describe what that something was. In the end I'm happy about the progress of Romo and I feel like he showed a lot this past training camp and pre-season and I feel Romo earned the spot he has on this team.

I don't know Dooms... if your choices were the Dallas Cowboys or the Dallas Desperados, which would you choose? :lmao:

Since Jerry owns both I doubt neither. I know your just joking around but I would not rule out another Henson going to another league.
