They also had in WR Kevin McMahan, a seventh-round pick of the Raiders. Neither player has signed with the team at this point.

Its the contract negotiations. Henson wants a 9 year gurranteed deal, so that he's gurranteed the starting job when Manning retires in 2013.jman said:Isn't this about the 100th time they have worked him out since his release???
They won't sign him, they can't afford a QB controversy right now.Gryphon said:The Colts reportedly worked out Drew Henson on Tuesday.

Oops ... we were the suckers who gave up the 3rd. :bang2:

If the Dallas experience is true in Henson's case he's not going to get any better sitting in his regular clothes and not on a NFL roster practicing.
Every week he sits will be more rust to shake off again. According to media reports in Dallas he was considered pretty rusty at times.

Doomsday101 said:I doubt he would even want to come back to Dallas. In his mind he would have to feel he was not given much of a chance to compete this past pre-season. I don't fault the Cowboys on that but I could clearly understand Henson frustration. I don't know what is ahead of Henson he may get a chance else where or not, time will tell.

. Henson's group are savvy business men.Tuna Helper said:And Henson will be like 40 years old by then. Henson is a genius. I wish I had his bank account for having done so little.
but he's the best Dallascowboys QB prospect since Troy Aikman!!!! sacarsm off/Kittymama said:Must not have amounted to much--he didn't even puff himself to the DMN writers. He usually contacts Mosely whenever he tries out for a team; this time Mosely didn't even mention it.
It interests me that the Henson camp was claiming the teams interested in him were Indy, Pittsburgh, & Carolina--all teams with solid QBs for many years. To me, that indicates Henson has finally realized he isn't going to be a starter.
