What a tremendously beautiful football game to watch.

Only because Ben made it one, I think. And then Pittsburgh kind of letting few Ints go through their hands.

Lmao...the Polomalu love fest ensues.

He gets beat by the running back, and it's CLEARLY his man.....the announcer goes out of his way to relieve TP from any fault....must've been someone else's man.

The guy isn't a god.

let's just say that there have been better #1 overall choices

John Elway
Troy Aikman

Dude, you are really grasping straws here. You are pulling arguments for argument sake.

I never even brought up comparison to John Elway/Troy Aikman or even Peyton Manning for that matter. You can't even compare Elway to Eli. Or even Aikman yet, although I think Eli might end up being like Aikman or has the chance of being like him, i.e. not much stats but maybe the Rings to show for it. But thats obviously just my opinion right now, since we don't know what will happen in future.

That's because you're looking at competent quarterback play. Makes all the difference in the world.

no but he's a very good player and 10 times the safety we've had since Darren retired

Exaggerate much?

He's good, and that's about it. There's no 'very' about it.

I just don't share your esteem for Eli

which is why I'm pointing out much better #1 overall picks

I think Phillip Rivers is the better QB, and that Eli is on par w/ Ben, just Eli is playing behind a much better line

Wow! I think I have easier time arguing with my wife or having her stick to the point.

my point is, and has always been, that Eli hasn't more than justified being taken #1 overall

and dont' forget that the Chargers got a couple of players out of that trade too

Eli is good, not great, certainly not deserving of any lavish praise

After watching this game, if we get a good game plan, and execute we can definitly beat the steelers.

Like I said, I have easier time arguing with my wife. Anyway, I don't see SB rings on Phillip's rings. Till then your argument is moot.

Eli has already justified his No. 1 Overall selection, whether you wish to agree or not is not going to change anything. Any QB who gets a SB ring, just like Big Ben did, will justify his selection, especially if did help the team on the way. It doesn't matter the team won only because he willed his team to win, ala maybe Tom Brady or like Peyton, whose team won in many ways inspite of him.

Beyond, that I will end the argument here, since its obvious we are not going anywhere here.

Colts surprised me, I always like to see the Squealers lose (unless they play an NFCE team) but I expected them to beat the Colts tonight.

Looked like a blatant, dirty arse, cheap shot chop block by Pittsburg on the last play.
