Amid reports that, at a minimum, raise serious questions about whether Colts receiver Marvin Harrison fired shots at a man outside of a bar Harrison owns in Philadelphia, Harrison’s agent, Tom Condon, denies that Harrison did anything wrong.
“Marvin Harrison was not involved in any shooting. The report is erroneous,” Condon told Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com.
Meanwhile, police said that Harrison is not a suspect. “He was interviewed,” Lt. Frank Vanore told the Associated Press. ”Why he was interviewed, that is all part of the investigation. No one is a suspect.”
Still, the report that originated on WIP points a finger clearly in Harrison’s direction. Per the report, the shooting followed an argument between Harrison and the victim at the bar, and the victim was shot while he was walking away from the establishment, with Harrison behind him.
The bullets reportedly came from a Belgian-made gun. Harrison told police he owns such a gun, but claimed that the gun never left his house. The gun was later found in a bucket at a car wash Harrison owns.
The gun was determined to be the same gun that fired the shots.
So flat denials don’t do it for us, not with those kinds of details. We need specifics from Harrison or Condon before we’ll be able to believe that Harrison had no involvement whatsoever.
We’re not saying Harrison was the shooter. But in light of the report from WIP, how can we rule him out based solely on the representations of a man who is paid to protect Harrison’s interests?
