Certainly only a small percentage of fans are considering a QB drafted after round 1.
The majority seem to have their minds set that the only solution is a QB drafted at #4... Are they right?
One of the things we've learned from VR over the years is that first round pick can be a surprise.
If Dallas truly believes that one of the top-3 is a franchise guy then yeah you probably have to take them.
BUT if there is some wishy-washiness to the whole thing, then I'm fine getting a developmental guy later on and spending that first pick on a defensive player.
I guarantee you Ramsey is on our radar even if we didn't interview him.
If they feel theres not that guy at 4 then I could accept it. If they feel that guy is there and pass because they HOPE Romo can play 3, 4, 5 more years then I would be quite upset. Thats my fear.

In the above link these are among the players Dallas interviewed at the 2016 combine.
RB
Zeke Elliott - top 20 pick
Derrick Henry-round 2
CJ Prosise - round 3-4
Deandre Washington - round 5-6
QB
Dak Prescott - round 3-4
Paxton Lynch - top 15 pick
No need to interview Wentz, they coached him - top 5 pick
DL
Andrew Billings - Mid-Late round 1
Noah Spence - Mid-Late round 1
Deforest Buckner - Mid-Late round 1
Joey Bosa - top 10 pick
Robert Nkemdiche: Mid-Late round 1
SS
Sua Cravens - round 2
OL
laremy Tunsil - top 5
Halapoulivaati Vaita - round 6-7
So if you look at all of this, I think you can start to get a feel for the Dallas draft plan.
With the pick #4, Trade back, Wentz, Tunsil, or Bosa
With a possible trade back scenario, a plethera of guys are possible. Billings, Spence, Buckner, Elliott, Lynch, Nkem, or maybe one of these guys could slide to round 2.
It seems they could be leaning Secondary in round 2 or RB. Or both in a trade.
In round 3 maybe get Prescott or a second tier QB they like.
Mid rounds, snag a RB like Prosise or Washington.
Late round get a OT prospect.
All of these are positions of need, so the plan may be shaping up.
I'd say you're reading far too much out of the standard interview process.
I take these as more exploratory interviews. Maybe find out some things they have questions about or get clarity on some question marks so they can narrow it down to serious consideration or not. The in town visit has always been the important thing. Anyone who plays the guess your draft pick game knows that.

sorry but Prescott is a glorified Tim Tebow,he cannot make all the throws and is ripe for INTs in the NFL,just dont bother.I hope they pick someone like Allen or Dirskell or even just pass on a QB.

If you scared say you scared.
A team shying away from a player they like because of a player not panning out is bad biddness
I see what ur saying but no TE's? No wr's? I think it's an indication of need and position interest. Sure we all know the VR visits are the gospel, but I think these are also very telling of their thoughts.
