I saw Gesicki blew up the 40.....

How did he and the other TEs do in drills?

The OU kid, Andrews ran a 4.59, not as impressive in the bench press, but looked good in routes. Gesicki was head and shoulders better in almost everything. He ran a a 4.55 40 at 6’5” 250 (faster than many WRs) and had a whopping 41” vertical and benched 225 22 times. Great hands too. Best TE as far as athletic ability.

over-all this is a good TE group.
Mike Gesicki,Penn St had a really good day.
Dallas Goedert,SD St
Mark Andrews,Ou
Hayden Hurst,S Carolina
Ian Thomas,Indiana
those are my 5....Id be happy with any of them.

Adam Breneman,Umass intrigues me...not sure how he tested.

Its a very good TE class. But we don't utilise rhem so why bother .

IMO, both Andrews and Goedert are better route runners and have better hands than Gesicki. He didn’t impress me in the catching drills. Hurst and Thomas would look good in the Star helmet.

Grab one of these kids, keep either Rico, Hanna or Swaim, and cut all 12 other TE’s on our squad.

Ian Thomas is a sleeper IMO. Thickly built frame that could be developed into a good inline blocker. Reminds me a bit of Charles Clay.
