Come Back BP

I understand what you have outlined, but the next in line will have the same needs and issues as well.

Well, Bill has had 4 years to rectify this and hasn't. So you can justify NOT hiring someone else just becasue the holes are still there? That makes NO sense.

If you follow that mentality - we'll never hire another head coach ever - until Bill is dead, which I happen to think he might already be.

Seems like we are always rebuilding the D.

...but.........isn't defense a strength of Parcells?

Sarge,

you've been here as long as I have (including the previous website incarnations) and I have always admired your posts. I think on the face of it, I agree with the list below:

Need at least 3 OL.
Need a WR.
Need at least 2 DL.
Need at the very least 1 LB if not 2.
Need another CB.
Need AT LEAST 1 S.
QB???????

...but I think the defence will fall into line. I think with a more dynamic scheme we have the players. i still have faith that Watkins is growing as a player. If we can cure the FS position, I think the rest will fall back into place.

I always believe that OLs and DLs need churning.

I'm not sold on the hype of Romo - but he will be a serviceable vet and I wouldnt rate him as a major weakness.

An injection of fresh talent at WR would be greatly appreciated whether TO stays or goes.

It has to be coaching. All you have to do is look at what New Orleans is doing with our rejects. Has anyone mentioned the possibility of Mora coaching our defense?

Appreciate the sentiment. I am not as optimistic with regard to the defense. We HAVE to get more pressure on the QB or we are in for a LONG year next year. In line with that, we can't cover deep which in conjunction with not getting pressure on the QB, is a disaster. Like many have said, New Orleans exposed us and the problems on D are very real. We are slow, old at CB, terrible at FS, horrible at DT.

The OL is a mess - we agree there.

I'm not sold on Romo either. His mechanics have diminished each passing week. He's throwing off the wrong foot, fumbling and basically looking like a sandlot player at times. Perhaps, that is a result of poor passblocking - perhaps not.

All I know for sure is, I have the SAME EXACT FEELING TODAY, THAT I'VE HAD AT THE END OF EACH OF THE LAST 4 SEASONS UNDER BP.

You do realize that BP has essentially a .500 average here right? That's not in his first year, that is in his 4 year tenure here. There are as many holes to fill now as when he got here, or damn close to it.

Let me put it this way, we're it not for Romo's hot streak, we would have finished 6-10, 7-9. Our defense is a disaster - you know - the one BP insisted upon and drafted for etc and etc. and etc..
