Cowboy fans are hungry to win. 10 frustrating years with Romo has worn on the fans.

I think most fans realize a healthy Romo is best option while they are wanting to support the potential future.

It doesn't have to be dark and gloomy after Romo.

Well, the savvy, veteran posters who've been here since the inception of Cowboys Zone really don't want to hear that Dak is the real deal. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. I remember back in the 90's when everyone said the Cowboys COULDN'T go to the super bowl because they started 0-2. It had never been done. They did it anyway. Now they are saying its impossible for a Rookie QB to win games and we can't win without Romo. I say BULL. What's sad is this is coming mostly from Cowboy fans. I think they are just hedging their bets. If he plays poorly, they can say "I told you so" and if he plays well, everyone forgets what was said....I swear, I wouldn't want to be on the same team as most of these so called realists.....

Believe it or not, not everyone is a big Romo fan. I am a big Romo fan but I can see where someone wouldn't be. I don't get all pissy when someone isn't.......
We all just want to win regardless who the players are . Right ?

I'm not on the Fantasy forum am I ? Lol

I didn't get pissy. The guy said he couldn't read a defense. Whether you like Romo or not, that's a pretty stupid statement.
It's a blanket statement . Of course Romo can read defenses but it has been noted as a weakness or not one of Romo's strengths.
A subject which definitely could be argued .

There's always been a bigger defense mechanism for Romo by fans.

I don't recall these emotions to the extremes when we let Murray or Ware go.

As a matter of fact there was more rhetoric on why it was a good decision to let them go which I'm not here to argue those issues just using the emotion attached as an example .

I think most fans realize a healthy Romo is our best option while they are excited about the prospects of Dak much like they are Elliott.

Stuff like this is why Cowboys fans get made fun of.
All fans do this. Most Cowboy fans are like risen-puke: they hate the team.

People like him get their jollies off either way. Matter of fact, he hated 2014. He doesn't want Jerry to have any success.

Trust me! He's hoping like hell this Dak thing is a preseason fluke. Nothing would hurt him more than for Dak to bust out and for Wentz to bust.

Only someone who's never watched Romo play would say this.

It cannot be argued. He's one of the best at reading opposing defenses. Jeez.

I would consider myself a realist and I am a fan, just not a homer when it comes to assessing what I see with the team. I didn't say it was impossible or even improbable that we can't win but some are really getting way out in front on a rookie QB because of pretend season play.

If he has a really tough time of it, I wouldn't think of "I told you so's", what's the point? We all want him to do well but it may take more time than some want to allow and it may not happen at all, which some cannot accept. The failure to success ratio of QBs selected in the 1st round is not good, it just gets worse the further down the rounds. All of these pro scouts and teams that had Dak in the 3rd or 4th knew something or he would have been higher.

All I am saying is let this play out and let's see how he progresses and to me, the outcome of the games is secondary to finding the next franchise QB. If he can be that guy, I really don't care about this season because the damned thing has been unraveling month by month throughout the off season. Got to the point where the only good news was not being in the news.

Hey, you Dak supporters, stop taking this as a slam against him and accept it for just what it is, reservations about a rookie QB with a mediocre, or worse, defense and a questionable offensive coaching staff when #9 is not playing. Because the only time they seem to be able to coach is when he's playing.

Not one of the best at reading blitzing defenses which has been well documented while he is known for reading defenses well at LOS .

And I've watched every play in his career. Can't speak for anyone else.

Anything subjective can be argued.

I'm one of those vets that has been here pretty much since the early days of the Zone and I don't fit that description at all. I truly cannot remember being this excited about the start of a season. Rookie or not. Dak is surrounded by pieces that will contribute greatly to his success. He has been dropped into the center of an all pro offense and he is going to eat well. Add a three down beast in Zeke, a healthy Dez, a crafty Witten, and a mound of hurt on that offensive line. Is it Sunday yet???
