I guess that's the one I just mentioned from Prey.

I had a brain fart about Midthunder.
I think of her as X-23 the same way I think of Momoa as Lobo...... I can't think of anybody better to play those roles.I had a brain fart about Midthunder.
Yeah. I may relocate the sub-discussion.* I think we've kinda spilled this discussion into the wrong thread........
I'm not a stickler for ethnicity either, but I wouldn't cast John Leguizamo to play Bruce Lee. If Blink's character is deeply affected by a strong Asian culture, I don't think it would work for her to be played by Ortega.I do not hold ethnicity is a strong obstacle in casting for fictional characters, especially comic book characters. For example, Marvel has switched up Betsy Braddock several times. Olivia Munn still ended up playing Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Not touching the Elliot Page comment.
Not surprised by Armor's anonymity. Her character has been strictly bound to the comic book page mostly. I do remember her appearing in a Japanese anime version of the X-Men though (Netflix maybe..?)
X-23 is a character that belongs on the big screen. Everything you could do with Wolverine, you can do for her. The character appeared (and was presented adequately well) in the American cartoon X-Men: Evolution (Disney+).

Wow, what an amazing concept! I assume (and hope) they're joining forces!Batman/Spawn: The Deluxe Edition Cover Revealed (Exclusive)

DC is releasing a deluxe edition of the highly-anticipated Batman/Spawn crossover. The two iconic heroes reunited last year for Batman/Spawn #1 by legendary creators Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo, two individuals who are very familiar with those characters. Of course, Todd McFarlane created Spawn after leaving Marvel and helping form Image Comics, while Greg Capullo collaborated with Scott Snyder and McFarlane on multi-year, fan-favorite runs on both Batman and Spawn, respectively. Batman/Spawn was officially announced last summer at San Diego Comic-Con and with the 48-page one-shot now available, we've got our first look at the deluxe edition cover that goes on sale April 4th.

We could end up seeing a new Supergirl flying into the picture for the new DCU established by James Gunn and Peter Safran. With the future of the DCU still unclear ahead of more official announcements from the new heads of DC Studios, there has been a lot of speculation over which characters will be reimagined with new actors, disregarding previous castings for Justice League and its connected films. Online, horrific.heroics on Instagram has joined the fray with new fan art of Chloë Grace Moretz in the role of Supergirl, and you can take a look below.

Ms. Marvel Was The Best Superhero Series Of 2022 (According To Rotten Tomatoes)
By Dan Conlin | Game Rant
January 16, 2023
2022 saw several new superhero shows and movies debut, but it looks like Ms. Marvel has beaten the rest of its peers out for the top spot. The Disney Plus Marvel series was everything its creators had hoped for, topping one major list of all the shows that came out last year. But there will always be some disagreement with these things.
While viewers were able to enjoy plenty of great comic book-related content in 2022, there were a few offerings that shot above the rest with undeniable gusto. The movies are one thing, but superhero shows have been enjoying a bit of a renaissance lately, at least from a certain point of view. Sure, the CW may have axed most of its still pretty excellent DC series, but that possibly helped pave the way for other platforms to have a fair crack at it without getting viewers burnt out too quickly. At least, that was probably the idea.
Among the new and returning superhero shows in 2022, Rotten Tomatoes officially ranked Ms. Marvel as the champ. The film and TV review aggregator site even added a little blurb explaining their conclusion. "The MCU grew by Moon Knight, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and even Werewolf by Night in 2022, but it was season 1 of Ms. Marvel, about a Pakistani-American superhero and led by charming star Iman Vellani, that bested them all. Move over, Peacemaker, and The Boys need to stand aside, because this teen crime-fighter is riding a wave to the top of the genre."

Yep. I think it is true that I am a bigger fan of Ms. Marvel than the average viewer. However, I would not slot it above The Boys in no way shape or form.
I think the list just shows what a weak year it was for superhero television compared to years before.Yep. I think it is true that I am a bigger fan of Ms. Marvel than the average viewer. However, I would not slot it above The Boys in no way shape or form.
Teen viewership is probably what is driving this. In addition, no one promotes as much as Disney. If The Boys were on Disney+ it would have much more promotion and viewers. Although if it were on Disney+ it would be neutered into a fraction of the show it has become.Yep. I think it is true that I am a bigger fan of Ms. Marvel than the average viewer. However, I would not slot it above The Boys in no way shape or form.
I could get behind that! And no, I didn't mean that in a dirty way.Supergirl Fan Art Makes the Case for Chloe Grace Moretz to Join the DCU
