In to every darkened hovel and damp dank corner throughout the NFL. The truth that is Romo shines forth like a beacon of hope across the land.:laugh1:

Or like a great eye piercing from Mordor, forcing fear into the heart of every foe.

That loss in Washington has left a bad taste in my mouth, I wish the Cowboys could face them in the playoffs, oops they won't be there..LMAO! Ok ok I'm done bashing the Deadskins...

Uggh, don't remind me of that loss.

Just think of how much better off we'd be right now if we had beat them and were sitting at 8-3 instead of 7-4. :bang2:

Who knows, we win that game and we may not beat the Colts. Romo gave this team a spark it needed, but I think losing that game gave us some motivation and is part of the reason we are on a 3 game winning streak. I'm happy at where we are at right now, with an opportunity to take the NFC East and start securing a first round bye. If we keep playing the way we've been playing lately, those should be reasonable expectations.

Its good to be a Cowboys fan right now. :starspin

Actually I'm sitting here in front of my computer feeling so good that I want to pinch myself to see if what's happening is really happening. After the Cowboys first 4-5 games, I posted my best evaluation (as a retired analyst) on how the season would turn out if Bledsoe and other factors continued--and it wasn't pretty--most likely we end up 8-8 at best.

The clinker in the machine/analysis (thank God) came about when Parcells totatally unexpectly pulled Bledsoe and put Romo in against the Giants. Paracells didn't do Romo any favors by doing it that way instead of giving him a fresh start in the next game but on the other hand it sure gave Romo a real good introduction to life as a starting QB in the NFL.

But I must admit, I'm still asking myself....if Romo is for real after so many loser QBs we've gone thru since Aikman left. Our Cowboys are now playing the way so many of us believed they would do before the season started.

We all thought TO would get lot of catches and that Glenn & Witten would reall benefit by TO's getting double coverage as would our running game. We all thought our defense would be more dominant and hoped more aggressive.

The first 6 games was a big disappointment. Now we are seeing the Cowboys playing they way we all hoped--but I don't think most of us thought they be anywhere this good and that Romo would be leading the charge as well--as great--as he has. Don't know if someday Romo will come down to earth but sure hope it's after we win a few SBs.

In all honesty though, I have to put a damper on what's happening by saying I still remained concerned about our OL (particularly at LT) and our secondary (particularly at FS). The object now is to mke the playoffs as the 2nd seed which means we MUST beat the Giants to win the division outright but also win enough games to secure that 2nd seed. If we can beat the Bears in cold/windy Chicago in January, we'll face the Chargers (could be the Colts or Patriots) in the SB and that's where I'm concerned that our 2 weaknesses cited above could bring us down. Sure wish Watkins would step up at FS to solve that problem. Only way to solve Adams' weakness might be to keep play Hoyte a lot to help out Adams w/o limiting our offense in any way.
