...and Greg Williams is out, anyone think there is a chance he may be hired as a defensive assistant? Was he in Buffalo at the same time as Wade? Do they have a relationship? I bet he'd like to stick it to Snyder for passing him over after he accepted a raise instead of pursuing head coaching jobs a few years ago.

I doubt we'll see Gregg here. Besides, it's not Wade's decision and it's obvious Jerry isn't too concerned about what his lame duck HC wants.

Fassel, Ryan and Zorn

All of my reporting leads to this trio topping the coaching staff.
Jim Fassel is expected to be named head coach, and the hold up is negotiations with the Ravens regarding Rex Ryan. As I previously reported, contrary to other reports, the Ravens retain Ryan's coordinator rights and can block a lateral move. They appear to be doing that. The sides may reach an agreement, but Ravens ownership badly wants to keep Ryan, who the players love. Fassel and Ryan spoke as recently as last night sources said and Ryan interviewed with Snyder Sunday night, according to sources.
Zorn, as we were the first to report, interviewed for the offensive coordinator job. He is set to depart around 5:40 and if all goes well he would be the leading candidate to replace Al Saunders (with whatever fancy title they want to use).
Everyone is waiting to hammer the contract details out but barring a last second change of heart, disaster, whatever, this is how it's shaping up.

I hope gregg williams is candid about what he thinks of snyder when he leaves!!!

It will be funny when he lands on his feet.

good luck to fassel, something tells me he is in a no win situation.

Jim Zorn? Is that who they are talking about?

Wow, ownership retaining coaches for the new coach to work with?

Jerry is a trendsetter.

Is Danny really going to hire a retread like Fassel?

That'd be almost like Jerry hiring someone like Wade.

DS and JJ are like two peas in a pod.

Wow, I didn't see that coming. I would have sworn that Greg Williams had this one in the bag. Interesting. I don't see anyone on the Skins staff that I'd want, but it seems there will be some coaches looking for work.

Would R Ryan implement the 3-4 in Washington?

That's what he primarily coached as the base defense in Balt, correct?

Oh how HATE HATE HATE dan *** snyder.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you the laughing stock of the NFL

If these rumors are really true, I think the Commanders are going to go through a MAJOR rehaul, setting them back at least 5 years.

Everyone on this team loved gregg williams, and when he leaves, these people are going to be pissed. I will not be suprised when a lot of people are going to ask out of D.C.

Right now we have no where near the personel needed for a 3-4, but I would imagine he will start trying to bring people in.

But who knows, I think everyone in D.C. is just in absolute shock right now.

Well, at least Gregg Williams will get that $1 million dollar bonus for not becoming the next head coach.

Rex Ryan isn't someone I want going to Washington... Actually, I would rather have Garrett HC and Ryan DC in Dallas.

Yhea, you guys will need a complete overhaul with respect to LBs for sure.

You'll probably need to draft a new DL as well.

Wonder why Snyder decided to switch to a 3-4? (assuming he does)

hey we can use williams, gray and while there at it bring shawn springs.

I don't think Fassel would be that bad of a hire.

I can think of a lot worse candidates.

I see Danny working. There is a trend around the NFL of veteran coaches doing well in second chances.

The Super Bowl has two of those coaches. Then you have Tony Dungy last year.

Heck, even Norval made it to the AFC championship game during his third stint as head coach.
