Commanders are Starting Cousins Just to Increase His Trade Value

this does not make sense to me. Why does Shanny care about what happens to the Commanders after this year? He will not be there. Putting him behind that OL....in snowy, cold, wet December....perhaps they will sink his value. And that would pe a parting shot from Shanny to Snyder?

Washington is weak in so many areas and need players as badly as we do. They'd be happy to get a 2nd or 3rd for him.

And that would be more trade value than we could get for any young player on this roster.

Regardless of circumstances in DC, Cousins is the better QB. He has a bright future ahead of him. I would give my left arm to have him in Big D to take over when Romo hangs it up.

I'm not debating any of that. He might be a dang good QB. I haven't seen enough of him to know really. I just know they didn't give up all that to get RG3 to go and get rid of him 2 years later. He's their QB going forward, not Cousins.

Not going to happen.

They gave up way to much to get him. RG3 is the guy they'll go with.

That's just compiling mistakes on top of one another. What they gave up doesn't really matter right now. What's best for their team is how they should be thinking.

I'm not saying it's not.

I'm telling you that I don't believe for one second they move on from him. They will stick with him. I have zero doubt about this.

I never debated that RGME wast their QB going forward. I simply believe Cousins is the better QB and would love to have him prepped to take over when Romo is done.

I think by benching him, Shanahan was hoping to get fired but it didn't work.........yet. Kubiak benched Keenum(twice) in favor of the soon to be gone Schaub and got fired, the owner made it clear after the first benching that Keenum was to finish out the season. I wonder if Mike used that thinking the same thing would have happened to him.

Whatever is going over there, I love it :D

Man, your posts just keep getting better with time Bleu. Cousins can get it done physicallly: nothing special mind you but adequate. However, he is an OUTSTANDING leader and person. You are correct Bleu, just what we need. Sure hope they trade him to somebody OUTSIDE our division.

7 touchdowns, 9 interceptions career. Massive backup-quarterback syndrome.

I don't think Cousins trade value increased the last few weeks. He looked rather mediocre.

Hey all you RGIII haters ..... how did Kirk Cousins do with the same team?

Guess the plan to play him so they could get a high draft pick didn't work.
And the Rams will be picking #2 overall, thank you Skins you made a lousy week/season just a bit better.
