Commanders Draft

Why wouldn’t they? Did the Commanders give up their 1st? If not then I think they are more likely to draft a QB round 1. Smith has 2 year left on his contract and is 33ish. It’d be very smart for them the draft a guy this year and have him sit for 2 years.

Not sure what the guarantees are but they signed him to a 4 year extension. He had 1 year left. He is now under contract for the next 5 years.

Oh really, didn’t see that. Yea there probably not taking a QB in round 1 then lol maybe next year lol

It said a 3rd round pick, the Chiefs were believed to be moving on with out Smith this year going to Patrick Maholmes (sp sorry).
 
Unfortunately, this probably means one less QB gets drafted before Dallas picks after Cousins lands somewhere.
I want as many QB’s, RB’s and WR’s to go before #19 to give us multiple defensive difference makers to choose from at #19.
 
Only 1 rb and 1 receiver will likely go before us, I still see 5 qbs going.
 
Kirk Cousins. At this point I think his two best teams would be Jacksonville and Phoenix. I don’t think the other teams would appear to have what he wants. Minnesota. Would be third but they have 3 options. Don’t think they want a fourth. Ckevelabd Sucks.
 
I think for the Commanders QB is something to keep in the back of your mind over the next few years. If the right guy falls to you, go ahead and make the pick. The important thing is not to force the pick; you have Alex Smith under contract for 4 years; as long as whoever you draft has 1 year to ride the bench and adapt, you're good.
 
It was the right move to make Kirk is going to make 25-30mill a year, and the pay differential is not worth the money in terms of salary cap.

Cousins wants to make 25-30 million a year, he won't get it. Probably closer to what Smith ended up with would be my guess.

That means Washington is still as dumb as ever. Alex is going to fall off soon badly.

I think they send their 3rd round pick to the Chiefs.
