Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing Jerry's spending without a cap. Additionally, the players have already let it be known that they are very interested in seeing an upcapped year. I wouldn't look for an extension of the CBA until after the cap is gone.

I've actually read the opposite of that. No one wants an uncapped year. It especially hurts young players as they're prep for FA. They basically lose a year of FA if there's no CBA.

Also once the CBA is gone, I've read that it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that it's not coming back.
