it was a dog and pony show imo after some photo ops the DoNs got most the time and rest if you kissed the COs and Gunnys butt enough. There was pizza somewhere but most of my unit got a bag nasty. I think they were there for the Army If god wanted a Marine to have a cheerleader, it would of been issued.
