I actually thought Rivera may have done enough to save his job but honestly, I'm not sure now. (lol)

He is done.......they are shipping him out of town. This is 100% on Rivera......to think he could get some from Carson that other coaches couldn't.

Putting in Wentz was dumb but it's Heineken is only slightly better. The Commies needed to tank for Bryce or Stroud.

Heineke had a 12/6 TD/Int stat in 9 games compared to Wentz's 11/9 TD/Int stat line in 8 games....Heineke also took 19 sacks to Wentz's 26....and while their Comp %'s were similar Heineke had a 7.2 ypa average compared to Wentz's 6.4....lastly Heineke as a starter this season was 5-3-1 compared to Wentz's 2-6 record.

So while Heineke is not a Top 10 QB, he was the clear QB that should have started and the only reason Rivera might have started Wentz is because he is simply clueless and should be fired immediately.

As for tanking for Bryce or Stroud, Washington currently stands at #14 in the NFL draft and have absolutely ZERO chance of getting anywhere near a Top 5 pick so unless they trade the farm to move up do not expect Washington to get either of those players. The best Washington can possibly do is move up slightly to grab Florida QB Anthony Richardson who at 6' 4" 232 pounds and running possibly a 4.5 40 yard dash could be the boom or bust pick Washington needs.

Ron seems like be very much like Wade Phillips.

Comes in and dominates early and everybody loves him. It runs out after year 2-3

But, like Wade, he seems to be more suited for DC, and that'd be par for the course for a DC with the 2-3 years. He could use us as a way to regroup like Quinn did. Plus, perhaps he could bring Darron Payne with him.

Ron would need to win this coming weekend to have his first non-losing season in DC. 7-9, 7-10, and 7-8-1 so far. This isn’t a roller coaster ride, just mediocrity.

Living here in the amazing Nation's Capitol, I can't explain how great it is to hear these fans humbled. After they beat the Eagles, the fans and talk radio hosts spoke of them being able to beat any team in the NFC and having a legit shot at going far in the playoffs. That nonsense continued as they barely scored 20pts each week and squeaked out wins with a very limited QB. Heading into the first Giants game, they actually spoke of their path to a Super Bowl here in DC. "We can beat the 9ers and Philly. Dallas is Dallas, they aren't any good." Blah, blah, blah.

Listening to The Team 980 is a joy after a Washington loss. This being "Dallas Week", it will be even better to hear the defeat in their voices. Lol

And while some franchises are melting down, we see elite quarterbacks like Brady and Rodgers lead their teams to the postseason despite having flawed and injured rosters

these elite dudes are like herpes and luggage…..just can’t seem to get rid of them
