First off,i love the competitiveness of our division, and i honestly can say I personally have no problem with the competition from the eagles and giants.but that daniel snyder drives me crazy, what a lil ####.they pulled the dallas game from a hat and the seahawk game also.they are overated, dont they play at Denver this weekend?thats a test.and Joe gibbs is a lil whiner type.uggggggh,i had to vent.lol.

They have a win over us and are two games ahead of us in the division, whether they are over rated or not.

We have one Commander fan in the office, only one, and he is still giving us ***** about the Monday night loss....................I hate it..............

By definition someone has to think you're good to be over rated don't they?

They are overated or they should not be 3-0, two entirely different things? They have a very good defense and D wins football games. They are 3-0, that's all that counts.

You are what your record shows. It all evens out at end of the yr.

I hate the Skins more than any other team...I don't even root for them against other division foes when the outcome would help the Cowboys...never.

That said....I'm not so sure Denver and Plummer won't be given fits trying to sort out that Washington defense...everyone seems to stop their offense for the most part, but they keep winning because no one has figured out their defense. I hope it's Denver, but I could see this being a game where Plummer implodes into his former int-throwing self.

We are not as good as the skins right now because we don't have a particular part of our game that can win games by itself. They have a defense that may rival Philly's.

I guess that's the easy explanation when it all comes down to it.

But I like looking at thing s a little different. I judge a team by not only their Wins and losses but also on how they performed in those games and who they played against.

For example:

I consider the Raiders to be a better team than teh Commanders even though their record might not show it.

they have a great defense, everyone is waiting for them to start getting whipped when they play some more talented teams, but i think there defense keeps them in the game.

sure, sooner or later having a weak offense will cause them to lose games, but i would have to say a lot of people (myself included) underated them. i thought we were going to blow them out in that monday night game. i thought they would win less than 5 games all year, doesnt look that way now.

If I am a skin fan I could care less they are winning games by 3, 2, and 1 points per game. Heck a win is a win. In fact, if I was them I would think our defense is going to keep us in games and we just need our offense to not mistakes and make a couple of plays a game.

I do expect them to come back to earth though. They have done what they needed to win games so far, but in time I see Dallas, NY and Washington all taking turns as the second best team in the NFC behind the Eagles. All three teams have their strong points and negatives. It is just a matter who can stay healthy and get a few more breaks along the way.

A win is a win, I agree. But if I'm a Commander fan I could look at the team's performance and think that it's only a matter of time until the offense loses a game for us. I would be able to logically say after watching the team squeak by in some lucky wins that the Commanders could easily be 1-2 or even 0-3.

The lucky wins put them in a good position in the division race, but the manner in which they won those games doesn't exactly inspire confidence for future games.
The facts are that they could've very easily lost to Chicago playing them in Washington, they had all but lost the Dallas game, and they had two weeks to prepare to play a mediocre Seattle team in DC and still only barely squeaked by.

Two of the three wins were at home and those were barely wins. The Dallas game wouldn't have the same outcome if you played it again 100 times. They are extremely lucky to be sitting at 3-0. Extremely. And any Commander fan who doesn't see that is simply biased and has a skewed view of things.

They are 3-0 and they are leading the division. They are in a good spot record wise. Anything beyond that though and the Commander fans aren't being honest with themselves.

The Skinz are starting to remind me of the 2003 Cowboys a little bit. Everybody said we weren't very good either. In truth, we weren't in a lot of spots but we managed to take advantage of the breaks we got and we won some games. We went to the playoffs and lost in the first round. This Skinz team reminds me of the same. They take advantage of what is given them. We can say that there not very good but they are leading the division. I think we pretty much gotta shut up until we can get our own back yard in order. There doing what it takes. We'll see how far it takes them.

Maybe so, but so will we the longer Bledsoe plays. We've got a lot of tough games left and Bledsoe has already lost 2 with poor decisions and bad throws in crunch time. McNabb and TO are probably salivating at our secondary.

Well said. You hit on some very good points. They gave the Seattle offense fits. They've shown that they can slow most offenses down and can strike quickly to get back into a game and have a very good running back to boot.

Both of our wins have been close ones that we could easily have lost, and we struggled with teams that had weak defenses.

Oh yeah, they may well indeed rattle Plummer.. still I see virtually no chance the Skins can win this game. I wouldnt be surprised if the Skins get shut out.

I'm not sayin this just to dis the Skins, I just think the match up is bad for them. Denvers D's is playing rather well (only allowing 1 more YPG than the Skins), home field advantage (crowd noise), extra motivation to stop the punk Portis, etc etc.

I dont see Portis doing much of anything, and Brunell running for his life. I dont imagine Denver will hang 30 on them, but they wont have to. Probably be a game like the Den/Jax game. Jax's D aint bad either. But this one is in Denver.

I'd be totally shocked (and impressed) if the Skins find a way to win this game.

Which isnt really here nor there because it's not like they were about to go undefeated. ;)

First off, you're a Commanders fan, so: 1. Your view of the Commanders will be skewed and 2. When talking about the Cowboys, don't say "our" and "we"... you're not fooling anyone.

Secondly, I wasn't talking about the Cowboys in any shape, form or fashion. I was talking about how mediocre a team the Commanders are and how you Commander fans should gladly take the wins but realize that your record could very easily be much worse than it is.

Why are they overrated? They have a top notch defense and their offense is getting better each week?????

Wouldnt overrated be calling them a superbowl contender? I dont think I've heard anyone accusing them of being that.

the skins have a good defense, their offense sucks though... they've gotten the big play when they needed it, but if they hadn't, where would they be now? 0-3.. luck will not always be with them... a real team puts games away early, like the colts..
