The last coupla days have actually been pretty pleasant in this neck of the woods (I'm about an hour and a half from Commanders Park as I type this)...

I should have had a beer/beverage with you this past weekend. I was in DC Thurs - Sun.

With the exception of a few days, this summer has been characterized by mild temps and rather low humidity... even on a few of those days where it got to 100, the nights were still cool (it was really quite bizarre)...

Thank God this kid isn't in Dallas...The entire media would be reporting that he is faking it to stay out of practice.

Never the less, I really hope this kid is okay and can come back and make a run at a carrer in the NFL. Or better yet, just be a healthy young man with years and years to live.

I hope the kid is ok and I hope they keep him out long enough to find out the real problem. Too many times these kids are in too much of a rush to get back to practice to make the team. A human life is worth more than a game.

Lefotu's agent, John Rickert, said he spoke to Lefotu's girlfriend, who was flying to Washington from Arizona. Rickert said he did not know if the cause of the injury was heat-related.

"He's breathing, talking," Rickert said, who added that he had not spoken to Lefotu. "I know they are keeping him for observation. It is always a scary thing when something like that happens, especially to a man his size."
