You do realize that Dallas is perfectly capable of retaining these guys if they want to right?

Philly is still able to maneuver with Hurts making $60mil a year. Miami was able to make a few big signings even after being $20 mil over the cap going in.

The cap can and should be manipulated based upon a team's strategy going into any season. Unfortunately it appears our front office has zero coherent strategy.

So, it's Dak's fault that the powers that be are terrible at the negotiation game and they keep handing over everything he and the agent ask for? Is it Dak's fault that the Jones' didn't Tag him the first time with the Non-Exclusive Tag to see what the REST OF THE NFL thought about Dak's value? Is it Dak's fault that CeeDee should've been extended already? Or, is it his fault that they should've had contingency plans for losing at least 3 offensive starters this year (maybe they do, but we won't know until TC)? Players are gonna take whatever they can get from ownership - JUST LIKE ANYBODY ELSE WOULD!!!!! Jerry and Stephen have created all this nonsense because their egos won't let them (and, therefor, the team) break free of Dak because they need to show the rest of the league they were right about him. Don't even get me started about their views of certain positions on defense and how behind their thought processes are...

BSB, some folks keep showing they don't know how easy they can create the Cap Space to make moves. Dallas could have $30M+ right now with 3 moves. Stay strong and keep trying to educate 'em.

The Jones don’t want to create cap room for free agency….period.
When they are ready to give Lamb and Parsons contracts, they will use savings from Dak’s contract to do it. They have no interest in using those savings in free agency. That’s why they are in no hurry to do a deal and haven’t even met with Dak or his agent.

The team needs Sam Williams to be a dependable 3rd DE now. And not just a guy who pops every now and then. Wishful thinking, but thats where we are now.
