:lmao: What is sad is our 4 -6 receivers are better than their #3. How many out of football guys are they going to sign. Wonder what they are going to do with Lloyd.

Wow. I actually think McCardell is decent. But it isnt going to help their struggling QB.

Wow, it just never ceases. They sign old has-beens and never learn. Keenan McCardell is a 37 year old WR! (Jan he will be 38!) Everyone said TO is getting old at 33!

I haven't really seen him at all in a while, but I don't see why this is bad.

Heck, this is something they SHOULD have done in the offseason. You can't run an offense with midget WRs darting all over the field. Sooner or later, you need a guy who can make those possession receptions, and it can't always be Cooley.

If they expect Campbell to throw anything other than a deep ball or an out, they need a guy with an 8' wingspan and arms that can reach behind his back while he's running in the other direction.

His last great season was 2003 with the Bucs. He had a decent season in 2005 (70 reps and 900 yards) , but 2004 and 2006 were subpar. At almost 38, the Commanders shouldn't expect much out of him. The Texans didn't cut him because he was productive.

I wonder who they cut to make a room for McCardell?

Strange signing, McCardell is way past his prime, evidenced by getting cut by Texans, who have four inexperienced and relatively unproductive WRs.

You have to understand that to Skeletor (St. Gibbs) a 38 year old player is like a 23 year old kid to him! McCardell is not going to last very long. If he's in the game when they play Dallas he's going to get hurt!

The Cowboys have been leaving wounded "young" players laying around after games...can you imagine what this guy is going to feel if he plays this defense?!!

Oh, well, the RedStinks deserve him...yes they do!

;) Another old vet pulling up to the Snyder ATM machine...

It's not about getting numbers. He's the kind of receiver they lack. Or he was, dunno if he still is. It's not a great move, but it's an attempt I think they had to make.

Funny thing is, Joe Gibbs drafted Keenan McCardell in 1991 with the Commanders. :laugh2:

What is going on with the skins? They paid this guy handsome amount of money and gave up 3rd and 4th round draft picks to be their #2 WR (I believe) and he has zero catches this year. I guess coaches feel Lloyd isn't playing up to his capabilities and doesn't trust him or something.

Their 3 other WRs (Pinkston, Thrash, and Calwell) all sucks as well and now they add another has-been, nuts.

The thing no one's talked about yet is the effect their WR core has on their special teams.

Dallas, like most teams, has young guys in the 4-6 WR spots who double as some of the better special teamers such as Hurd and Austin.

Washington is going to have Thrash, who has always been a good special teamer but is aging, and nothing else. Is Caldwell, Lloyd or McCardell going to serve as a gunner on punts? They just aren't deep enough in other areas to carry Lloyd's lack of special teams play on the roster but he's too costly to cut.

Their trade scenarios are worse than a lot of the ones posted here. Some of their gems include:

Trade Brandon Lloyd to Houston for a 3rd rounder

Trade Brandon Lloyd and a 2nd to ARZ for Larry Fitzgerald.

Sheesh.
