Don't be confused. Heyer and Jansen are not signs of quality depth at the position for the Skins. As the previous poster said, Jansen is beyond used up. If he's playing, and we get an early lead so the Skins have to pass, Campbell will be running for his life all day.
That said, Heyer isn't great. He's an athletic kid, but he's still learning how to play the position in the big boys league. If he plays, Portis won't be running to the right. He's better at pass blocking, but I'd still call him serviceable. He's nothing Ware, Ellis, Canty, Hatcher, Spears or Ratliff can't get past.
