That plays right into the strengths of a 3-4 defense. We're taking away a DL and adding a linebacker. The OLB's will line up closer to the perimeter and they'll take away those outside runs.

A 3-4 puts more athleticism on the field, which means we'll get to the egdes quicker.

I'd much rather see this than a team that is intent on running up the gut.

Considering we have one of the fastest defenses in football, running laterally wont work well against us. With Dat, Ware, Newman, etc chasing him he wont get far.
