At first I thought Reggie Brown actually did fimble, but on second glance, he did see Buckhalter coming strong. I guess it really doesn't matter at this point.

IMO, that was no hook and ladder. The replay clearly showed that he wasn't in control of the ball....he may have intended to give it up...but not like that.

I know nearly everyone calls it "hook and ladder" but don't they mean "hook and 'lateral'"? Never understood that.

Yeah. I think it sort of took on an acceptable meaning after years of misuse (Madden). You're right though, it should be "hook and lateral."
