I think it's SF and a lot of other teams that could make a run in playoffs. It's pretty wide open this year. The Cowboys can beat any team IMHO except for SF. One team that could surprise is the Rams.

Two things can be true:

The refs are terrible and we make terribly stupid penalties. Micah definitely gets held a lot and doesn’t get ANY calls, but he made a terribly stupid penalty by leading with a forceful elbow into Tua’s chest right after the throw. The week before Lawrence put an elbow forcefully into Allen’s chest! What happened. He also got called for Roughing the Passer. Micah was whining like a baby on the sideline. It was embarrassing! Do these guys learn from their mistakes. You cannot throw a forceful elbow into the QB’s chest right after the throw!!!! Do the coaches review the dumb as_ plays and say, “don’t do this again”.

CD Lamb lines up offsides. He needs the ref to motion him to move back. While he is moving back, another player is in motion. CD gets called for illegal motion and a positive play is negated. Again, do our guys learn from their mistakes. Players, especially defensive player have been lining up offsides all year( Fowler twice in 1 game).

Why are we NOT running the QB sneak on the 1 foot line? We are usually pretty da_ good at it. We have Dak and 2 elite guards. We try a handoff to Luepke instead. The handoff is botched. With a handoff there are more guys handling the ball. Dak is moving back not forward. The play takes longer to develope. More chance a defensive player will penetrate and blow up the play. So many reasons to just run the dang QB sneak! Late in the 4th quarter we are again on the 1 foot long. Do we learn from our mistake earlier and run the QB sneak? No, we run the DUMBEST PLAY OF THE YEAR. A play action pass from the 1 foot line. Our backup tackle who has been missing blocks all game let’s the DE run right past him and sack Dak for a 9 yard lose!!!( It took GREAT plays by Dak and Cooks to get the TD). Whiners with Steve Young and the Patriots with Brady almost always ran the QB sneak on 3rd or 4th and a foot. They had 2 of the best offenses in football and they did not get cute or fancy. They ran the basic QB sneak and were successful over 90% of the time!!! Philly is even more successful with the Tush Push. Run the dam QB sneak on 3rd or 4th and a foot!!!!!!

I thought all in all the D played pretty darn good. They held arguably the best offense in football to 22 points and forced them to kick mostly long FG’s. BUT when the game was on the line, and our Offense, finally gave us the lead, the defense was pathetic. Miami went straight down the field passing and running. Our D allowed them to kick a chip shot FG, while also running out the clock. Again, overall good D, but PATHETIC when we needed them the most.

Our Offense, including Dak struggled throughout the game, especially in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. We made some big plays, but everything seemed hard. Fangio’s scheme( mostly zone ) and talented defense made things hard for the O to figure out. Dak and the Offense did suck it up at the end of the game. They had a very hard fought drive to finally take the lead. The Offense does deserve credit for continuing to fight on under tough circumstances. I am worried about Dak playing against good zone defenses.

The Coaches: Today they had us ready to play. They had a good game plan and it was working well early in the game. Without the fumble we have a commanding lead. BUT our coaches did not adjust NEAR as well, as the Miami coaches. Our offense struggled mightily in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. They had 2 safeties deep an we were not able to exploit it with our run game. OUR RUN SCHEME is too basic! We had a misdirection run where we had one receiver in motion to the right and one going to the left. We handed the ball up the middle. Do to the misdirection Pollard had a huge hole. It was a well designed misdirection run. We do not have enough misdirection runs in our play book like this!! To many basic runs inside the tackles with very little misdirection.

Dan Quinn was slow to adjust, to Miami’s adjustments. We were having success early covering their receivers in zone, so Miami’s coach started using their TE’s over the middle. On most plays their TE’s were wide open. Took Quinn to long to adjust to this adjustment by the Miami coach.

Lamb is a stud but we still need to spread the ball around.

I think we will win our next 2 games and Philly will lose once to the Giants. We will win the NFC East and be the 2nd seed. IF, we play up to our potential and don’t make to many stupid mistakes AND run the dam QB sneak on 3rd/4th and a foot, we can win 2 playoff games at home. Hopefully, someone will knock of the Whiners before we have to play them.

We are a very flawed team, but still the 2nd best team in the NFC.
Typical of the Romo years. Thats exactly what it reminded me of. I’m over DQ he can take his circus elsewhere next year. No LB’s, converted S, and nothing at the DT.

So no interaction with you clearly making 2 mistakes on Micah penalty just more demands others be perfect? Seems legit.
Today at 10:19 I responded to the Micah penalty. Do you think it was a penalty? I do. Two different refs, 2 weeks in a row, call similar penalties on our players( Micah and Lawrence) for forcefully leading with their forearm/elbow into the QB’s upper body right after the throw. Don’t get caught up in my verbage. Do you think they both were penalties? I do.
I am saying why are our players not learning from their dumb mistakes. Are the coaches reviewing those idiotic penalties and talking to the players about not making the same STUPID mistakes?

Some mistakes are understandable, but we make more than ANY team in the NFL! Do you think we are a smart team?
I don’t?

I firmly stand that Micah's play was within the rules and not a penalty.

I also believe the refs let opponents get away with murder against Micah.

I also believe that calling the refs out is unwise and only adding to the bias against him.

Now it's upper body
Earlier it was chest which is it?

Answer Micah legally hit Tua in the back within the 2 steps allowed. Your thoughts are irrelevant to me. What I'm pointing out is you DEMAND PERFECTION from the players as you've show many times with your verbiage, you conviently ask us all to ignore, yet in the simplest of things like making a post on a board you can't demonstrate that same perfection.

I am saying why are our players not learning from their dumb mistakes.
And neither are you, again demanding others do what you cannot.

When will you learn?

Micah hit Tua well within the 2 steps. Per Micah the ref stated he threw flag for intent....intent not the action. He made a poor judgement call. Do you review with him weekly to fix his stupid mistakes? Or do you continue to show you're unwilling or unable to do what you demand of others?

First of all, on 2 very similar plays, not exactly the same but very similar, both Lawrence and Micah were called for Unnecessary Roughness two weeks in a row. I think both of them were penalties. You thought Micah’s wasn’t a penalty. Did you also think Lawrence’s wasn’t a penalty?
If the refs think it is a penalty, regardless of what you think, the coaches should be talking to our players about how the refs are calling this play, so they do not do it again.

Secondly, I am writing in a fan blog. You can certainly understand the intent of what I am saying. Who gives a shi_ if I don’t explain my point perfectly, or misspell a word or two!!!! This is not my profession. I am not making millions of dollars per year to write on this blog. I do not expect perfection from our highly paid players, but I do expect our players to learn from their mistakes and not make stupid penalties. Is that acceptable to you? We are the most penalized team in the NFL!! Is that acceptable to you?

So both refs 2 weeks in a row were wrong and should not have called Lawrence or Micah for Unnecessary Roughness? In today’s NFL the refs err on the side of the QB! Fans know it, players know it, and coaches know it.

I agree. Micah is getting held constantly AND never gets a call. I don’t think refs consciously call the game differently against our team, but they dam sure subconsciously call it differently. They may not realize they are calling the game differently, but they are!!!!!!

I agree calling the refs out publicly is not a good idea. Jerry and Stephen should send video every week, to the league office, showing the bad calls or no calls against us. Be in their ear constantly.

Look at the big physical LBers Baltimore has! We had a good opportunity to have Bobby Wagner!!!!!!

The Whiners do not look invincible anymore after Baltimore kicked their butt.

Bad news though. Baltimore looks pretty invincible.

Lol misspell. Dude you stated Micah hit the QB in chest, doubled down said it again and refuse to accept you were wrong about it and keep deflection as your best friend.

Read your own words including punctuation, the mere fact that a WR asks the ref if he lined up onsides has you all worked up, even though it's a huge part of the game, WR do this weekly.

You do demand perfection and now are deflecting again with this oh I'm just writing in a blog it's not important if I'm accurate

CeeDee checked with the ref and the ref motioned for him to move back. So he did and then reset.
Right it's like the referee set him up like yeah son go ahead and move and as soon as he moves they call the flag they should have let it go because he asked they agreed they said move he moves they throw a flag it's almost like this is like it's it's borderline ridiculous and what the refs are doing right now we get he moved but he asked to move so he got permission so it's not like the defense was drawn off sides or anything weird happened he literally just needed to reset motion was already happening that's on the refs...

I don't think I saw the Lawrence play, I caught that game like at the end of the 1st Qtr.

I believe the TV commentators & rules analyst agreed Micah's wasn't a foul, right?

I thought I heard the same about the Lawrence play.

I know I see other defenders hitting QB's similarly to Micah and not getting called for it.
