I think they make a play for Earl Thomas as we get closer to the draft.

Also Byron Bell, Joe Vellano are free agents. Bell has a better chance of getting a comp. Vellano is a jag.

Commanders signed him and gave him 2.5M(this year) to be a slot guy.
They weren't going to part with a pick for him and we weren't going to trade him to them for like a 6th.

If OAK had wanted him then yea we probably could have recouped a late pick.

But DAL/WAS don't trade.

You are right about WAS.....duhhhh

Still we owed 3m and 4m with 0m gtd and he got more from WAS

My point is by making him a June 1st we don't get the cap space so why help him out for nothing..... keep him thru camp and see if injuries hit

He actually got less but not by a ton. 2 years 6.85M
year 1 cap hit is only 2.5M.

WAS could have traded for him and made 2M of his base SB and got him for as little as 2M but as we note, WAS and DAL aren't doing trade business.
