Compensation Picks for Cowboys next year, what should we get in round picks?

Seems like I remember Albert Breer posting on this topic a while back, and he said that he doesn't expect any compensation because we didn't even try to sign those guys.

If Breer said anything like that, he's completely clueless when it comes to comp picks. All that matters is that they were our UFAs and they signed with other teams. Unless we sign some UFAs from other teams in the next few week (we haven't signed any yet), we'll be entitled to comp picks next year (assuming Reeves, Julius Jones and Davis don't all get cut).

Most likely, we'll get a fifth-rounder for Jacques Reeves (assuming he plays a lot), a sixth-rounder for Julius Jones and a seventh for Keith Davis. Nate Jones didn't sign for enough money and probably won't play enough to get us anything.

I hope JJ runs his butt off for Seattle. I hope he gets at least 800 yds and 8-10 TDs...

I hope Reeves plays every game.

I hope Davis plays every game.

I hope Nate plays every game, just so that it will increase our odds of getting comp for him.

A third-round pick? We have NO prayer of getting a third-round pick for him -- or even a fourth. It'll most likely be a sixth. Maybe there's a tiny chance it'll be a fifth or seventh, but I'd have to check on that to see if either one is even possible.
