Leary is really close to the 3rd round cutoff. Playing time next year contributes to that valuation and since OL play a lot if he is healthy he should get enough snaps to push his over to the 3rd round. An extra top 100 pick would be sweet.
I wonder how many snaps exactly that he'd have to play :omg:

He isn't that close.... he has to be 96th or higher and is 111th in APY

He won't make the 3rd round threshold... there won't be 11 3rd comps this year, maybe 6

With the new secondary and everyone pretty much locked up on offense, the reality is that only 1-3 positions might be available for grabs on the 53 next year.

 (Do your job) and forcing two tight end sets was all coincidence, huh? Gronkowski sure seems to think something is there
You mean Escobar was a Garrett pick? Never heard that before. And for forcing two tight end sets they sure have run a lot of 11 personnel since he took over. You'd think 11 was their actual base (Hint: it is)

And the Patriots are the first to ever use Do your job? That's funny, I heard that in high school football many years ago.

That is overstating it a bit. If that is the case, we better have won a Super Bowl by next year.

Backup QB, backup RB, backup TE, swing C/G, swing OT, backup DT, backup DE, backup ILB, utility LB. That is at least nine positions with current players that have expiring contracts. And many of them are very replaceable.

New England fans crack me up like that. They also think Brady is the first and only player ever to restructure a contract to help the team with cap numbers.

Or they could just draft for special teams again.

Don't even start to curse it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, you can't draft for backups. Plus we really don't know who will suck this year, everyone looks like an all-pro right now.

The Pats won a SB, and look at all the moves they have made.......I could see us thinking we are better than sliced bread if we won the SB and having a special team or backup draft cause we are sooooo good.

If it meant we were coming off a WC, I would understand it in a primitive way. But I hated it in the past when the team would be coming off an "okay" season and then sit there and say there are only a couple of roster spots available.

That is insane in a league where you basically are turning over the majority of your roster in four years. If this class turns out with a couple of starters and a couple of reserves it is a good draft and you keep doing that. Stacking one good draft on top of another. It should be a process.

I know, I was just messin with ya.

Jerry would go full Al Davis mode and take a punter in the second round.
