I'd rather he try to emulate Belicheck than some bum (or son of Bum).
If we've been watching Red try to emulate the Emperor, yikes. He's got a bit to go I guess.

I don't really think he's trying to emulate Belicheck, just pointing out the logic flawIf we've been watching Red try to emulate the Emperor, yikes. He's got a bit to go I guess.
That's a great point. And yes it would!Leary is really close to the 3rd round cutoff. Playing time next year contributes to that valuation and since OL play a lot if he is healthy he should get enough snaps to push his over to the 3rd round. An extra top 100 pick would be sweet.
(Do your job) and forcing two tight end sets was all coincidence, huh? Gronkowski sure seems to think something is thereI don't really think he's trying to emulate Belicheck, just pointing out the logic flaw
I wonder how many snaps exactly that he'd have to playLeary is really close to the 3rd round cutoff. Playing time next year contributes to that valuation and since OL play a lot if he is healthy he should get enough snaps to push his over to the 3rd round. An extra top 100 pick would be sweet.
He isn't that close.... he has to be 96th or higher and is 111th in APYLeary is really close to the 3rd round cutoff. The max a team can get is 4....DAL actually has 10 qualifiers lost and signed 3 for a net loss of 7No pick for Terrell McClain? Didn't he sign a $20 mill contract?
You mean Escobar was a Garrett pick? Never heard that before. And for forcing two tight end sets they sure have run a lot of 11 personnel since he took over. You'd think 11 was their actual base (Hint: it is)(Do your job) and forcing two tight end sets was all coincidence, huh? Gronkowski sure seems to think something is there
lol wouldn't have to do with Escobar being a scrub huh? NahhhhYou mean Escobar was a Garrett pick? Never heard that before. And for forcing two tight end sets they sure have run a lot of 11 personnel since he took over. You'd think 11 was their actual base (Hint: it is)
And the Patriots are the first to ever use Do your job? That's funny, I heard that in high school football many years ago.
He was a scrub. But 1. He wasn't a Garrett pick. 2. They didn't actually force two-TE sets. But other than that, you nailed it.lol wouldn't have to do with Escobar being a scrub huh? Nahhhh
Sweet!So next year they'll have 10 picks.
1st
2nd
3rd
2-4ths
2-5ths
2-6ths
7th
That is overstating it a bit. If that is the case, we better have won a Super Bowl by next year. With the new secondary and everyone pretty much locked up on offense, the reality is that only 1-3 positions might be available for grabs on the 53 next year.

Or they could just draft for special teams again. That is overstating it a bit. If that is the case, we better have won a Super Bowl by next year.
Backup QB, backup RB, backup TE, swing C/G, swing OT, backup DT, backup DE, backup ILB, utility LB. That is at least nine positions with current players that have expiring contracts. And many of them are very replaceable.
Don't even start to curse it.Or they could just draft for special teams again.

If it meant we were coming off a WC, I would understand it in a primitive way. But I hated it in the past when the team would be coming off an "okay" season and then sit there and say there are only a couple of roster spots available.I could see us thinking we are better than sliced bread if we won the SB and having a special team or backup draft cause we are sooooo good.

That is insane in a league where you basically are turning over the majority of your roster in four years. If this class turns out with a couple of starters and a couple of reserves it is a good draft and you keep doing that. Stacking one good draft on top of another. It should be a process.
