Competition in training camp

Gotta look at the RB competition as being one of the most interesting and important.

Will one of them breakout and distance himself from the rest? A rookie sensation? A resurgent career?

Will the O-line be responsible for several RBs becoming productive in their own diverse ways, increasing Schotty's offensive arsenal?

Will the Cowboys be scouring the waiver wire at the end of the preseason in a desperate attempt to acquire some minimal level of talent because they couldn't move the ball on the ground against future practice squad players in the preseason games?

It is only fair to consider all possible outcomes.

Historically, Jerry Jones is in love with elite WRs and dismissive when it comes to productive RBs.

Just look back at that history from Emmitt's holdout to giving away two #1s for Joey Galloway to letting Demarco Murray walk to trading for Roy Williams, Amari Cooper and George Pickens to waiting until the 5th round to draft a desperately needed RB.

It's all there. If the Cowboys are going to end up with a highly productive RB, they are going to have to get lucky.
